Obama Haters: The Republican Party LOVES You!!!
Dear Clinton Lovers/Obama Haters:
Keep up the good work. Rush, Sean, Laura, and the rest of the wing-nuts love the thoughtful posts that you are providing the TPM, myDD, and TaylorMarsh.com.
Obama is a phony. Oh sure, he graduated from Columbia and Harvard. Oh sure he was a lecturer at the University of Chicago. Oh sure he was a community organizer for the disenfranchised and poor in Chicago, turning down lucrative law firm offers. Oh sure he is just the third black senator elected to US Senate in US history. He is just a phony.
Obama threw his grandmother under the bus. Oh sure, he successfully worked to find his identity in a chaotic mixed race household. Oh sure, he turned his back on drugs and embraced education. Oh sure, he has been a role model to millions of black and white and mixed race children in this country and around the world. Oh sure, his revelation of the painful details of his upbringing forged his character. But that doesn't matter, because he told the truth of his grandmother's difficulties with race.
Obama is playing the race card. Oh sure, he was the one who compared his candidacy to Jesse Jackson. Oh sure, he was the one who described his behavior as 'shucking and jiving'. Oh sure, he was the one who said that the main attribute of his candidacy was his race. No wait, those were ALL prominent Clinton supporters.
Obama is an empty suit. See "Obama is a phony". Disregard his work on securing nuclear weapons. Disregard his ethics bills in the Illinois and US Senate. Disregard his landmark legislation mandating police taping of interviews and confessions. Disregard his calls for personal responsibility to people of all races and backgrounds. Disregard his admonishment of black audiences for the pervasive homophobia in their communities.
Obama is a closet racist. No one can point to a SINGLE word, written or spoken BY Obama, that conveys anti-white, black supremacist, anti-Semitic, or homophobic beliefs. In fact, he has spoken eloquently AGAINST those narratives. Instead, point to his membership in a church that ministers to the poor. Cherry pick a FEW sentences from the thousands of sermons and speeches given by his pastor. And then condemn BOTH of them anti-white, black supremacists, anti-Semites, and homophobes.
Above, never think for yourself.
Never let the facts influence your opinion.
Never give an opponent credit for his inspirational life story and campaign.
Denigrate, distort, disrespect, rinse and repeat.
And while you are washing the filth out of your hair, watch the Democratic party go down the drain with your narcissism and self-indulgence.
For shame.

McCain's oppo research people won't even break a sweat. They'll just fax the Clinton campaign to messenger the files over.

Why is Hillary still in the race? Her only chance of winning is if she destroys the Democratic party in the process. Will it be worth it Sen. Clinton to go down as the first female Presidential Candidate in American politics? Nevermind that you will destroy the Democratic party. It is time to bow out with dignity and grace. Your politics of despair and negativity are no longer welcome in the Democratic party. Leave now or destroy the party. Your choice.

You can swap Obama/Clinton names in your post and it would still be just as valid.

Lalo -- huh? How does this apply to the Obama campaign?
"Denigrate, distort, disrespect, rinse and repeat.
And while you are washing the filth out of your hair, watch the Democratic party go down the drain with your narcissism and self-indulgence."
If it weren't already crystal-clear that Clinton is willing to do her part to destroy the career of a good man and the most gifted political leader in at least a generation, not to mention sacrificing the general election and the future of this country to her desperate need to become the nominee, it became clear this morning in the New York Times. Rather than turn a blind eye, I would that Clinton's supporters would at least try to put a stop to this horribly destructive behavior.

This post is spot on. I just listened to Rush crowing about the unbridled success of "Operation Chaos," have you heard of it?
It's what he's pushing out there to get Republicans to vote for Hillary, for the dittoheads to mess up the democrats as much as possible, and to get them fighting as much as possible.
He practically choked with laughter when he recounted the nearly 20,000 republicans in Texas who voted for Hillary, and how she was crowing about her crossover appeal.
"It's working, folks! It's working!" He said.
We are such idiots.
That, and they're using the Wright controversy to paint Democrats as unpatriotic because of some of his language. To say that black people are unpatriotic, that all democrats are.
And were LETTING THEM!!! AGAIN!!!! WAKE UP!

Damn Thomas. You need to take a pill. He is an empty at this point in his career. It isn't to say he can't fill that suit. He's got a long way to go before he can be thought of as Presidential material. The 3 am Ad and the SNL skit beyond it were what everyone was thinking in the first place. Come on admit it. We all are thinking it. What would he do? We don't even have a clue of what that answer would be. And.....why is that? Because he has no record. No experience. Hillary or McCain. Do you know they will most likely do? Hell yes. We do. Do we really want another Bush?
And, yeah, out here in fly over country we think he threw the woman that raised him to be the man he is under the bus. Not a closet racist? Why not play up your white side Obama. You've got a whole family and background in Kansas and elsewhere that is non-existent. If your going to disrespect the kind folk that brought you up....what do you think he will do with the average voter. Words MEAN something. Actions MEAN Something. Clinton 08!!!!!!!!!!!

yep, the Democratic party is going down.

Clinton is an empty pantsuit, with no substance and only attack ads. She brings nothing to the table.
Your comparison with Bush points out the obvious about you. Your vomited-up opinions smell of bile and sour grapes. You make claims that are refuted by the very post you are replying to! You are making arguments that are lies! You are knowingly lying, knowingly misrepresenting questionable facts, and knowingly "whisper campaigning". You are, in essence, without class, dignity or even basic human decency.
Why should we read posts from a liar? Why should we respect someone who does not respect themselves, and allows themselves to wade through the mud and feces of FOX News for ammunition? Why should we listen to YOU?
You're an empty sack of bile and sour grapes, just like your candidate.

Out here in the forest we think that Obama showed how you love and keep the faith with someone you disagree with, whether she is the white grandmother or the black pastor.
Sorry that your world is so black and white... with me or against me. That's been the Bush administration view of reality for 7 long years.
"Play up his white side"?! Have you heard the way the man talks? (If you'll pardon me for saying so.)
And, no matter how he "plays" he's still gonna have a tougher time getting a cab.
And as he pointed out, to be African American IS to be mixed. It is you who seem to think Black means "not white." He pointed out that Black means African, European and American Indian. Go listen to the speech again.

Relax ingoman. You actually don't have to read anything I write. What exactly did I lie about?
No whisper campaigns at all. Not even sure my dog listens to me.
I have more respect for myself than someone that seems so ready to hide who really brought them up in this life. That afforded him the ability to experience life in the way that he did. Why are we just learning of his grandparents now?
Please,I was a democrat when you were probably still pissing your pants. I want someone that has comand of facts and ideas. Not someone who takes ideas of one person and uses them as if it is thier own. In other words, if I am going to end up with another Dubya why don't I just keep the one I have.
And, yes, she is going to win the nomination. Clinton 08!!!!!!!!!!!

"Damn Thomas. You need to take a pill. "
This part is true, sorry Thomas
"He is an empty at this point in his career. It isn't to say he can't fill that suit. He's got a long way to go before he can be thought of as Presidential material."
Proven lie, the fact that you and Hillary want us to believe this doesn't make it true, though it does make you a liar.
"The 3 am Ad and the SNL skit beyond it were what everyone was thinking in the first place. Come on admit it. We all are thinking it. What would he do? We don't even have a clue of what that answer would be. And.....why is that? Because he has no record. No experience."
Another proven lie. We KNOW what Obama would do, as he has outlined his EXACT PLAN so very, very many times. Again, you want us to believe it is true, but it isn't, it does make you a liar.
"Hillary or McCain. Do you know they will most likely do? Hell yes. We do. Do we really want another Bush?"
This is a twofer, we've got two lies (Obama can't win, and everyone will go for McCain ie "another bush") as well as a subtle manipulation of words (putting Obama and Bush in the same sentence to associate them together). Again you have the crap that you want us to believe, but lying again makes you even more of a liar.
"And, yeah, out here in fly over country we think he threw the woman that raised him to be the man he is under the bus."
Blatant lie again, you want us to believe that Obama threw his granny under the bus, but everyone who actually watched the speech knows that this is another lie, another link on your liar's chain of links.
"Not a closet racist? Why not play up your white side Obama. You've got a whole family and background in Kansas and elsewhere that is non-existent."
Lie.
"If your going to disrespect the kind folk that brought you up...."
Another lie, linked to the lie two lies up
"what do you think he will do with the average voter."
So if we were to believe all the crap you spewed up above, this would be a good question, though you missed the actual question mark here. As your argument is a laundry list of lies and falsehoods, this is sort of a little bow tie to tie all those lies together all pretty.
"Words MEAN something. Actions MEAN Something. Clinton 08!!!!!!!!!!!"
Finally, your opinion! This and the very, very top statement are the only honest things you say in this entire web of deceit. Words and actions DO mean something. Lies MEAN nothing. Lies are the opposite of something, they're made up, fantasies.

Mikey, out here we drive our own cars and don't take cabs. If you have read anything I have written here this week you know that I advocate moving past all this black/white talk. That the real issue we face is in the future with an "invisible" minority that we need to bring into our party and country. To deal with all Hispanic Americans with honor and equality. Something that is not done by either black or white now.
And there in lies another point. In my mind we are all Americans. and we are all mixed. Look Obama is the one with a Minister/Friend/Advisor/Religious Advisor/Old Uncle/Mentor that spews hate speech. Hell he put his "best" ones out on video. I'd hate to see the "worst" ones.

Hah! More lies. As if Reverend Wright spliced together every contraversial statement he ever made with Obama campaign footage to make it look like he agreed, then post it on FOX News himself.
And you think you're a democrat? Considering your track record I suppose that's a lie too.
March 20, 2008 3:05 PM | Reply | Permalink
Ingoman, are you off your meds? I watched and read the words. Please, this was a simple stump speech that was aimed at trying to muddy the waters. Which he did.
You don't have to believe me. Just read the poll numbers. He should do his party a favor and drop out. He is damaged goods.
March 20, 2008 3:31 PM | Reply | Permalink
Being "damaged goods" hasn't precluded Hillary Clinton's decision to run for the Democratic nomination.
To about half of American voters, Hillary Clinton is about as "damaged" as political "goods" can be.
So you can take that particular argument and stuff it.

Dude, when a white guy needs a cab in the city, his is not gonna have trouble getting it to stop. Obama will. The world treats him as "Black" on a basic level.... why shouldn't he own it?
I leave it to your own twisted mind to reconcile "Why not play up your white side Obama?" with "I advocate moving past all this black/white talk."
Like hell you do. I know B.S. when I read it.

As for the pastor, I'm glad that none of your friends have ever thought or said a hateful thing in their life. You are a very lucky man... although you must travel in very refined circles.
Me, I've got friends who think all sorts of nutty things that I disagree with, and when they come up I don't hesitate to tell them.
Obama has always had a basic message... you can have a relationship with people you disagree with, in your personal life or in your international relations.
Sorry that so hard for you to wrap your mind around.

Hey, he can any minister he wants. But don't tell me your the President of all the people when you embrace that crap. And embrace him he does. Sorry man, if i had a friend spewing that crap he wouldn't either change or not be my friend anymore. Taken to the extreme hitler could have been your friend.....You'd disagree with him about trying to exterminate a race of people but....he'd still be your friend. Some kind of logic you got going there mikey. Stalin a buddy too?

I don't think for the most part the Clinton supporters are Obama haters, although some may have been pushed toward it by supposed Obama supporters.
I still will be happy to vote for Obama if he is the nominee, but I'd be happier still if it were Clinton. In my view, I think Obama would be a better president in a few more years than he would be now, particularly if he were vice president in the interim. And if it would work out where we have 8 years of Clinton followed by 8 years of Obama, what's not to like? 16 years to repair the republican nightmare should rationally be a good thing, I'd think.
There is so much vitriol from so many of the Obama supporters, however, that I do find it more and more difficult to separate him from his followers, though I will continue to do so.
Any objective observer who has visited this site, DailyKos, Huffington Post, and many other blogs would see some example from both camps, but the greatest amount of pure hatred comes from the Obama supporters (if that's what they really are, and not just republicans masquerading).
In actuality, I really don't understand why the extreme passion for either candidate. They're both quite middle-of-the-road politically. Obama is not the messiah, and Clinton is not Satan. They're just two people qualified to be President, as opposed to McCain, who's not. I don't think I'll be especially happy with what is accomplished by either one.

Oops, you said Hitler Louie... don't you know that the first person to make a Hitler analogy on the internet loses the argument?
Those are the rules, I don't make 'em up.
However for my money his grandmother and his pastor pretty much balance each other. Obama has stated that he only recently learned of some of his Pastor's remarks. He was known not be a regular attender at church. And he rejects the remarks. You and Fox news and a whole world of haters will try to pin Wright and plenty of other angry Black folks you dig up on Obama.
I think you'll be successful, to your shame.
Either you've got a forgiving heart or you don't, and you make it clear that you don't.
March 20, 2008 6:02 PM | Reply | Permalink
Mikey, your obviously way past me on the internet argument front. So now he not only didn't ever hear comments but he really wasn't much of a follower or christian? Which is it. I am getting confused with all the smoke. Or was he a good parishoner that needed the association with a popular pastor in the area so that he could run for state office. Then use those connections and successfully get to a senate seat? Thats really not that novel many Catholic politicians have done the same route. But....major differece is that those priests weren't spewing hate or racial slurs.
I forgive and forget. Rev. Wright didn't do anything to hurt me. Only himself. I've nothing to forgive him for. But, Sen. Obama will not get my support

Here's a link to an article by Molly Ivins written in 2006 about a year before she died. It touches a bit on the theme of this blog and, incidentally, reflects my own point of view. I think she would have liked Obama, don't you?

No doubt Molly was a great American but paint me on the side of winning. Sure clean Gene made the remarks. But what happened. Tricky Dicky...2 terms. Thousands later. Unfortunately, we haven't yet learned this lesson in the Democratic party. You can be right all you want..but if you can't implement "right" what do you have left.
We owe it to the people of this nation to WIN. We have the two other houses. We need to shore those majorities up....get rid of Liebermans' blackmail tactics and take the whitehouse.
Anything less and we are back talking how we should have won and what we WOULD be doing if only we could have won. Thats crap. I am tired of losing.

Louis,
You keep bringing up the issue that racism against Hispanics is the primary issue. I noticed in coverage of the Texas PrimaCaucus that interview with the Hispanic woman who roundly condemned Obama as representative of the entire black community, that the "black community never did anything to help Hispanics when they had the chance." Is this what all of your anti-Obama and anti-Black sentiment is rooted in? Why haven't you posted your own blog post on the issue?
March 20, 2008 6:23 PM | Reply | Permalink
Haven't taken the time and fully formed all the thoughts astral. I didn't see the interview that you reference but I've seen plenty in travels and.....one look at that fence......well we should all we ashamed of ourselves. We allow the powers that currently be in Mexico strangle thier people to the point that they have no other option than to come here. And what do they get here?............I think in our hearts we all know that answer and it sickens me.

Hillary was married to the president. That's her experience. That's it. She's done precious little on her own that she didn't get because of her name.
March 20, 2008 6:36 PM | Reply | Permalink
God the distortions of you people: When Obama talked about his grandmother, it reminded me of my Jewish mother who saw a Nazi in every German face. She raised me to be inclusive, to abhore discrimination of any kind. But she still saw a Nazi in every face. I had a shared experience with Barack Obama, and I bet millions of people like me had similar connections.
If you can't see the truth that everyone harbors elements of discrimination that we all should face, then you people are hopeless. And yes, hateful.
And let's talk about common decency: Hillary didn't even have the basic decency to acknowledge the importance of the subject matter. If she had given an important speech about sexism, Obama would have. But there's something wrong with her that she never for a second considered acknowledging what should be a basic progressive narrative. Because she had points to add up for her personal gain.
She is unfit to be president.

This was put together and sent out by a McCain aide. Conveniently fired. After the damage.
So this is what we have to look forward to: photoshopped lies. I only hope Hillary is willing to do the damage to McCain that she has tried to do to Obama. I doubt it, however. She likes McCain. They have the same foreign policy.
We're in big trouble. Hillary or McCain will solidify the damage done by Bush.

57 How exactly is she supposed to like McCain. South Carolina.....summer of last year or early fall?....A woman such as yourself asked him "How can we stop that Bitch" I think were the words. Do you not believe she has heard it all? My god.......not to give her a break when she has been our whipping post for the republicans for almost 20 years. Carrying our water. Carrying YOUR water. Damn. She is playing the game to WIN.
Give her a little credit. No experience other than her husbands name? You were talking about hate above...prophetic I guess.
We got so much accomplished in the 90's out here. Maybe not to the satisfaction of folks here. But where I live and work and play people were able to buy houses for the first time. Were able to get jobs get off of welfare.....We were paying down our debt so our kids wouldn't shoulder the brunt. Thats where she wants to go. Isn't that a good place? A place where we can again work on womens rights, gay rights, minority rights. healthcare, education, IT TAKES A VILLAGE.
Sorry for the long post but it upsets me that she is discounted so easily when she took the brunt of a majority of attacks over the past for democrats. Even if she isn't nominated we owe her.

I dearly loved Molly and read everything she ever wrote, but she did vote for Nader. Oh, well, still loved her.
March 20, 2008 8:24 PM | Reply | Permalink
Whoa! I can't let you get away with dissin' Molly.
Yes, she did vote for Nader. But she was no fool, as you seem to want to imply.
Molly explained that her vote for Nader was part of a vote-trading arrangement, whereby Dems in very red states (whose Dem vote wasn't going to make a dent anyway) would "trade" their votes with Nader voters in swing states, in order to avoid throwing the election to the Republican. Too bad more Nader voters did not participate in such an arrangement. From AlterNet, Oct. 10, 2000:
