Nude Photos of Barack Obama's Pastor!
You clicked! But don't worry, even the best of us would. But the fact you checked in on this headline is a demonstration of how easily distracted we are by the ridiculous. Can we make a pact not to be distracted by the ridiculous? If not, we may as well just listen to Rush Limbaugh every day, because he'll five us our fill. Are we better than that? Even when the ridiculous is hurting the candidate we don't support and helping the one we do, we can stand up together and say "not this time."

It's all about the catchy title. Good job!

Well, thanks on that. I take this all seriously, but I try to keep a sense of humor about it all.

I clicked as I knew it was BS but was hoping for something funny as a break from the tit-for-tat BS.
So you can imagine my disappointment fin finding you're serious.

Yes, but as you can see, some people DID click on without thinking it's BS. That was my target audience.

There's nothing ridiculous about a naked preacher. I love it when the leader of the flock gets caught without his frock so that everyone can see his...
...hypocrisy?

For a second, I was in agreement--I get some satisfaction from seeing holy and self-righteous get caught in hypocrisy...but naked???
Remember Jim Bakker? Or Jimmy Swaggert? Yyeeeesh! PTSD.

Slick trick - I was half-expecting some link to some cornball photoshopped crap by some craven neo-con.
But - these days you never know - so it doesn't hurt to know who's trying to attack.

You've touched on something I've been thinking about...lightening fast news cycles contribute to short attention spans and potential viewer boredom when a non-story keeps getting recycled. Polls indicating a majority of folks don't believe Obama shares Rev. Wrights views mean that the MSM better give it up or amp it up. Maybe they'll luck out and a teenage parishoner will be found included in a Girls Gone Wild vid.

Your point is well taken. Hell, we're all secretly glancing at the celebrity gotch-yas in the grocery aisles, too, so we're guilty as charged.
But, then again, many of us are well aware, even while we peek, that this stuff could be crap...thus, time - and further fact and analysis - are on Obama's side.

Good point, nicely made! Anyone who says he or she didn't wonder, if only for the merest millisecond, whether there could be something, conceivably..... probably ain't telling the whole truth and nothing but. As with Obama's observation about his grandmother's fears and comments: only when we deal with ourselves with honesty and candor--as Obama summoned us to do in his speech--is there the least chance of overcoming ourselves. That's what made his speech monumental. Can we cope with a candidate of this magnitude, never before seen in our time? Yes we can! And oh, the possibilities!

I clicked with the hope of finding a TPM link to report such an obvious ploy as Abuse. Why doesn't TPM have a 'Report Abuse' feature? The author must have serious issues if he just created this post to say "Look at Me!". What are you? 12?
