My Fellow Peasants, It's Time to Slap the Leadership Around a Little
This is getting stupid. The isn't a horse race.
It's a chance, maybe a last chance, to re-claim the United States of America for it's
citizens. And we're blowing it. No MSM, not the Republicans.
Us. It doesn't matter whether Obama or Clinton wins. Well, it
matters to THEM. But is the Democratic platform going to be that
different? Not hardly. Which ever one wins the nomination is going
to have to lead pretty much the same coalition. They are going to have to
make pretty much the same compromises.
It's time that the peasantry got our pitchforks and flaming torches and had a
sitdown with the Clinton and Obama camps, and especially with those of their
supporters with the most undisciplined mouths.
THIS IS OUR SHOT! AND YOU'RE BLOWING
WITH YOUR PETTY, BS INFIGHTING!
Ms. Clinton, Mr. Obama - Do I need to walk each of you into a back alley and
make the point more forcefully? That can be arranged. John McCain
is promising four more years of cronyism, incompetence and handing the
Federal Treasury to Halliburton. That's his PLATFORM. Bush is
letting banks buy T-Bills with bad real estate investments as collateral, we've
all seen how FEMA was gutted, the Civil Rights division of the Justice
Department under Bush works to deprive people of civil rights, the
occupation of Iraq
is bankrupting the economy, and what do I read here? (No offense
Josh)
Jeremiah Wright and Geraldine Ferraro. Which candidate 'went negative'
first. Hllary’s a ‘monster’.
Barack’s a Muslim. If you want to
discuss a negative, try one that matters. Are conservative Americans more
likely to vote against a woman, or against a Black man? That at least has
some relevancy to the actual choice. Get your so-called supporters in line.
To my fellow TPM readers - I implore you, no more bickering down here in the rank and file. We have
two fine candidates, and every chance to see neither of them in office by being
short-sighted. We need to stop fighting each other, and bury both
campaigns with email telling them stop attacking each other, and focus on tying
McCain so tightly to Bush that McCain starts calling Bush 'Cindy'.
I'm going to stop playing nice about the attacks from BOTH camps. I'm
going to assume that everyone who pushes this BS is a neo-con plant, and
deserves to be verbally drawn and quartered. We have two fine candidates
who would both do America
proud. Stop denigrating them. It's just not that important that your particular candidate win. It's important that we get the current Gang of Thieves out of the White House.

I agree! We have to hang together or we will hang separately! So to speak!

Hellrazor... Money quote...
It doesn't matter whether Obama or Clinton wins.
It doesn't if you support the principles and policies of your candidate. Their positions are virtually identical. Clinton is trying to sell "experience" and Obama is trying to sell "judgement, hope and change".
Whoever wins the nomination, if elected, will work with the democratic Congress trying to move the nation towards principles we share. The principles are more important than either candidate. Any adult, whether Clinton supporter or Obama supporter, should be able to see that.

You make some good points about what we peasants oughtta do. Unfortunately, electing either one of the two corporate Dems we have to choose from won't yield an outcome that is more than marginally better than Mccainism. What we need is for the peasants to demand that if nominated and subsequently elected that we actually get some real progress on the things that will make a difference to us peasants and I'm not talking bailouts for Wall Street's irresponsible parasites either!
