It's Over
I'd like to join the chorus harping on the disconnect between delegate math and Clinton’s
perceived momentum.
Basically, it boils down to this: for all
the talk about a protracted nomination battle, Clinton’s comeback,
yadda yadda yadda, Obama remains the apparent nominee. If this were
anyone other than a Clinton there would have been a concession and
Obama would be going after McCain exclusively. Check out Jonathan
Alter on Countdown with Keith Olbermann on the MSNBC site. Go to
msnbc.com, click on Countdown, then click on the "Clinton Delegate
Strategy" video link.
It's here, I guess, where the obligatory "I'll support Clinton if she's the nominee..." mantra should be inserted.
There's only one way for the Democrats to lose in November, and that is through a protracted and bloody nomination process. Let's not give the Reps any hope; they've delivered nothing but despair, and deserve no less in return.
