Is Liberal Media(?) Destroying Democratic Party
Barack Obama is leading in the pledge delegate count; he’s nearly tied in super delegates, has won 30 states out of 44 and has almost a million more in the popular vote count.
Let’s face facts folks. If the situation were reversed, Hillary Clinton would be our Democratic nominee by now and currently taking on John McCain in the general election. Barack Obama would have been ‘forced’ (although I believe he would have cared ‘more’ for the Party and stepped down by now) to leave the primary race – drop out.
If there’s anyone out there that disagrees with that please state why.
This primary has a woman and a black man fighting it out for the top ticket. Two main members of the Democratic Party’s base; women want Hillary; blacks want Obama (for the most part – 70-90%) to win.
Exit polls are showing that neither side will vote for the other if they should win. It’s gotten that bad already. I remember previous exit polls saying the opposite. They’d be happy as long as a Democrat won in November. Not so anymore. There is as much ‘dislike’ or ‘hate’ out there for the opposite side, as there currently is, for George W. Bush and Dick Cheney and their Party.
What’s even more shocking is, the Republican accused, so-called, “liberal media” are the ones pushing this dual to continue between Barack and Hillary, thereby risking the chance of destroying the Democratic Party all together. I can’t count the times since Super Tuesday and the Ohio vote, that I’ve heard reporters and pundits say, “why not let them finish it, let them go at it. It will help prepare both for the general election.”
This to me is like having your drill sergeant shoot you in the foot and you saying, “What did you do that for Sir?” and the sergeant replies, “We want you prepared for what you might encounter in combat - soldier.”
Why on earth would the “liberal media” want to destroy ‘their’ own political Party? Can somebody answer that question? Are they just asleep at the watch or are they sincerely clueless as to what is happening? Or perhaps the better question would be; are the media actually conservatives hoping to split the Democratic Party in two?

As you say, there is no "liberal media."
But, the implication that the media is allowing the primary to go on when Hillary should have dropped out by now because the media either wants ratings or to destroy the Democratic party is absurd.
Hillary Clinton has millions of supporters and leads the polls in some big states that have yet to vote. There's a very real race going on. Both the delegate count and the popular vote are winnable for Hillary, no matter how unlikely you believe that to be. This is not McCain vs. Huckabee here.
You're basically saying that the media should drive Hillary out of the race. Don't you think that Hillary's millions of supporters would find that a tad unfair?

Maybe you haven't been paying closer attention to the network news media, but I have. I have seen plenty of times network hosts on MSNBC and CNN bragg about the ratings that the debates and coverage of this campaign battle between the two candidates are giving them. I've seen plenty of these news experts make the argument that if the situation between the two candidates was in reverse and Obama was losing the popular vote and delegates that he would not be getting much coverage as Hillary is getting. I've also seen numerous CNN and MNSBC news anchors publicly admit to wanting to see the primary battle go on all the way to the very last election in Puerto-Rico so they could have the pleasure of covering it there.
The 2004 Democratic primary was wrapped up at the beginning of March and John Edwards backed out of the race to allow the front-runner Kerry to prepare for Bush.
dester I don't what your problem is, but you need to take the blinders off, and come to the realism that this on-going battle is destroying our party.
BTW, Ric Flair sucks. Hogan owns him.

Anyone who watched the pathetic, dismal, awful, regrettable and downright shameful performance of the "liberal media" over the course of the last seven years and still believes in the "liberal media" is smoking some really good stuff. Or they are Rush Limbaugh. Who also may be smoking some really good stuff.

So, you are saying that if the situation were reversed -- Obama would still be in this race and YOU Hillary supporters would be cheering HIM on? Yeh right!

Ratings. There's no such thing as "the liberal media"...let's kill that psychotic right-wing talking point already.
They see what the ratings are like in this race between Obama and Clinton. That's why they haven't given Clinton the Huckabee treatment.

I was making a point that it is the media that drives our politics (just as they helped Bush do for the Iraq war) and if this same media is "the liberal media" as the Republican love to claim....why would they be pushing this Democratic Primary to continue as they are...KNOWING that it is splitting the Party in two?
If they were truly LIBERAL -- they'd some how hurt one of the candidates enough to make the race END tomorrow.
Remember the famous Howard Dean SCREAM? That one move RUINED his chances - and the LEFT WING MEDIA (so-called by the GOP) helped do it.
