Hillary as VP? No way
Maureen Dowd cautions it's now making its way 'round the bend. And Beckel in RealClearPolitics tries to float it himself:

Can you imagine? I think we've all had quite enough of this joint ticket talk no matter how they shake up the seating. She's lucky anyone even considers her a potential Senate Majority Leader...after Tuzla, I can't imagine that, either.

But, you know, it's clear that the Democrats are going to have to offer Clinton something.
I've heard the chairmanship of Health, Education, and Labor considered. Currently held by Ted Kennedy, so maybe it would be in play.
I'd be okay with a position on the Supreme Court.
I know Sinbad is going to suggest Ambassador to Bosnia, but I think Sinbad needs to keep a lid on it right now. Party unity.

One of the jobs of the VP candidate is to tear the opposing party's Presidential candidate to shreds.
Obviously, she would be good at that.
Would she actually do it? That, I doubt. I have trouble imagining her fighting for Obama in the way she would need to. All it would take is little hedge here or there (she's already praised McCain enough to suggest this would happen) and she could set herself up nicely for 2012 against McCain. Would she actually do that? I hardly hesitate to say yes and I don't think you could accuse me of being cynical for it either.
Of course, the primary goal is to win, so the next and obvious argument, over whether her and Bill would be a burden on an Obama White House is one for another day.
In the meantime, would she help him win? She brings the ladies, that's for sure. But like I said, she could screw Obama pretty good if she wanted to from that high perch, and, considering she's now getting chummy with the vast right wing conspiracy, I worry she would.
