The Iraq IG is former WH counsel Stuart Bowen. Someone doesn't appear out of the blue and start reviewing emails.
Did he, as associate White House counsel, learn of White House counsel efforts to review WH emails, and target them for deletion?
What kind of email reviews was the White House doing of emails sent within EOP?
Do we have any information on White House referrals to DoJ on alleged improper use of White House equipment for personal use, or for sending classified information through non-secure channels?
How does the EOP explain the non-official use of the White House IT system, and Bowen's familiarity with email reviews?
Did Bowen at the Iraq IG office apply lessons he learned from the WH Counsel's office?
To what extent was the "authorized investigation" into "press leaks" a ruse to clamp down on some communication which questioned the President's legal basis for FISA, rendition, POW abuse, and the Iraq invasion?

Take a step back from this issue. Reconsider the NSA violations. There was a standard, it was ignored, yet the lawyers claim it was authorized.
Now, reconsider this case. Formerly assigned WH counsel, now outside counsel for the defendant, invokes the "authorized"-jargon, shifting the burden to the employees:
