Did Hillary win -- or just kick the can down the road?
Okay, yes, I'm a Barack Obama supporter. Okay, yes, I was a bit surprised at Tuesday nights primary results. But now that the party is over... what really happened?
Did Hillary make a great comeback? Did she send the game into overtime? Answers, at least as far as I can tell are no and no.
What did happen? Barack probably failed to end the nomination process right away as Hillary will likely continue her campaign. But are Hillary's chances of winning the nomination greater or less on March 5th than they were on March 3rd. The way I see it they are less. Another 300 or so delegates have now been selected and Hillary made up little if any ground.
To stick with the sports analogies Barack now has the ball on the 15 yard line and there's no one between him and the goal line, Hillary is about 20 yards back. Her only hope is if Obama drops the ball, stumbles and falls or just says to hell with it, I don't really want to be president.

I like your football analogy. I am a very new football fan so correct me if I get this wrong. But Hillary's campaign is coming to the end of the 4th quarter with no time outs left. She needs a touchdown to win the game. But her team is so far away from the goal that a touch down is all but impossible. Instead she decides to kick a field goal and then have the refs call the game in her favor because she asks them pretty please.
Have I got it?
