Clinton camp's hierarchy of slurs: "Monster" > "McCarthy" > > Betrayer of Christ
While there have plenty of examples of feigned outrage expressed by the Clinton or Obama camps over the comments made by the other side, I can't think of a clearer example of hypocrisy worn on one's sleeve than what Clinton consultant Howard Wolfson dished out during a phone interview on the March 24 edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe:
Gen. McPeak's suggestion that Bill Clinton's latest comments sounded more like Joe McCarthy? "Beyond the pale."
James Carville's comparison of Gov. Bill Richardson to Judas? "Not something that I would have said." (and that, only after a follow-up question forced him into a corner).
These characterizations were made in the same interview, within a minute of each other! (sorry for not posting a link, but I don't tivo and neither the video segment nor any transcript of MSNBC's morning show is posted on their web site).
UPDATE: What does Howard say now that he had a chance to polish up his chutzpah?
"If I had said it, I would apologize...I did not say it, and if I had I would, but that's up to him."
Carville, of course, refuses to apologize, and characterizes his comparison as "a seasonal metaphor."
So it's okay to compare someone to the betrayer of Christ as long as it's done during the Easter season?
Well then, I can't wait for April Fool's Day to say a few choice things about the Clinton camp.

Hearing the Cajun Weasel on CNN, I am reminded that he is an utterly contemptible misfit who, much like a stopped clock, is right only twice a day, and through no agency of his own.
