I was for it... before I was against it.

Eh, I think legalizing weed is probably a good idea. One more thing to tax, saves shit tons of money on prisons, contrary to the commercials people don't get high on pot and blow each others heads off. I think most people under 50 now a days could care less about pot.
As soon as young voters become older voters I think it will be legalized anyways.

I'm sorry -- I mean, I support the cause and all, and have even been a casualty of the drug war -- but if you're a single issue voter this election year, and that issue is pot, then you should probably avoid voting altogether until you lose some of the myopia.

I hope that wasn't directed at me, though I could understand why you might get the idea that's an issue for me.
The purpose of my commentt was not that I support the use of pot, but that for me it is a non issue. also that I think most of young America feels the same way. I was just reponding to the fact that the original poster seems to be making it seem like a huge deal that will change peoples minds.
Personally I have tried the stuff and don't like it much at all.
