UPDATE - Rep. Kingston On Real Time
It seems my original post caught on with fellow Real Time viewers of last night's episode. If you were as outraged by Kingston's appearance as it seems others were here are a couple places to reach out to:
1. watchdog@barackobama.com
2. HBO contact page for Real Time
Let them know Kingston needs to answer for his lies.

Don't forget Rep Kingston himself... That's where I started. I also hit Obama's site and HBO
Here is the link to contact Rep Kingston:

I wrote to him this AM - here is my letter... I made ever effort to be respectful - and basically tell him that spreading falsehoods about another member of Congress (even if you disagree) is shameful
Dear Mr. Kingston,
I understand that I am not a constituent of yours, but I feel I must protest your shameful treatment of a fellow member of Congress last night on Bill Maher's show on HBO.
When asked a question about Senator Barack Obama, you made reference to a well-debunked internet rumor that Mr. Obama refuses to say the Pledge of Allegiance or place his hand over his heart in respect during the Pledge, citing a picture that purported to show this behavior. This is entirely false, and has been shown to be false on numerous websites and other public forums, including one of the Democratic Presidential debates. The picture in question shows Mr. Obama and several other Democratic Presidential candidates during the singing of the National Anthem, during which placing one's hand over one's heart is not seen as "required". In addition, Mr. Obama has, on occasions when he has presided over the Senate, opened with the Pledge including placing his hand over his heart. This can be seen on C-Span.
You also impugned the patriotism of Mrs. Obama for a comment she made at a rally in Ohio, claiming that she had yet to explain the comment. She did explain the comment in the Chicago Sun Times: "When asked Wednesday if she would like to clarify her comment, Obama replied that she has been struck by the number of people going to rallies and watching debates, as well as record voter turnouts.
'What I was clearly talking about was that I'm proud in how Americans are engaging in the political process,' she said.
'For the first time in my lifetime, I'm seeing people rolling up their sleeves in a way that I haven't seen and really trying to figure this out and that's the source of pride that I was talking about,' she added.
When asked if she had always been proud of her country, she replied 'absolutely. Barack and I, our stories wouldn't be possible, if it weren't for fundamental belief and pride in this country and what it stands for.'"
While I understand that Senator Obama is the likely Presidential nominee for the opposing party, I find it reprehensible that you would impugn the patriotism of a fellow member of Congress and that of his wife, especially using false and inflammatory statements. This is conduct unbecoming any representative of our government. I feel you owe the Obamas a public apology.
