The Clinton Campaign 2.0: The McCain Campaign

Look at the front page of John McCain's campaign page: his current slogan - Ready to Lead on Day 1 - seems oddly familiar.
Listen to the critiques both he, President Bush and the RW noise machine are making - before Obama has locked up the nomination.  Why it's almost as if the Clinton camp released all their (very thin) oppo to the Repubs to help amplify her (very thin) message: he knows of a Weatherman, his middle name is Hussein, when he travels overseas he looks like them not us, his experience is thin.
The press release from the TN GOP was no fluke: HRC won here by a decent margin and Obama's campaign chair here will be running for Senate this year.  Harold Ford, a much less smooth candidate than Obama, got 48% of the vote here in 2006.  Bob Tuke, the Democratic Senate candidate presumptive, was a very happy Marine during the Vietnam War.
The Clinton campaign, as it did in NH, is trying to double team Obama with help from the McCain campaign and the President.  She's doing small roundtables in OH where she may tear up; she's giving off that help me vibe.  McCain is criticizing Obama on a daily basis, with mockery and solemnity.  The RWNM is squealing their little piggy squeals.  It's all of a previously-failed piece coming back for a rerun.
Meanwhile, Clinton is still playing catchup in Ohio and Texas on the ground.  I think the Obama campaign's learning curve is fairly steep: they've figured out how to keep their heads down and work the ground no matter what the media is saying.  We'll see...

Ready to Lead on Day One

LOL. Good catch. Hope this gets noticed.

The connection between the Clinton and the McCain campaign should be obvious. Mark Penn is the CEO of the firm Burson-Marsteller and their lobbying subsidiary, BKSH, is headed-up by Charles Black who is McCain's top advisor.

Do you think they speak to each other and and talk about the two campaigns? DUH!

Very interesting read over at dKos. I've long wondered why Penn was helping her run such a disastrous campaign. The idea that he sabotaged her to help usher in another client of his firm, John McCain, seems to hold water. Or maybe I'm just a conspiracy theorist. Still, interesting line of thought.

Thanks for the link.

I think Clinton's stupid but I'm not surprised.
Just read this article about possible gerryrigging of polls by the Bush Admin in favor of John McCain. after screwing him in 2000. They have the power right now and Clinton's using it.

“And the way we heard it down here was that Poppy Doc and Baby Doc promised ole Hoppin’ John if he just kept his trap shut and toed the War Party line with ‘em, (not a’gin ‘em,) they’d damn sight make sure he’d take New Hampshire this time (just like he did, pretty as you please, to everyone’s surprise, even his!), and be given the gift of South Carolina in 2008, no matter what pie-eyed preacher tried to stick his nosy family values nose into their customized voting machines.”
