Some convoluted thoughts....
Why should we really care if Roger Clemens took steroids or HGH? Major League Baseball really doesn't.
Why is Congress spending millions of dollars on these hearings and possible investigations to find if Roger Clemens lied, when they seem so unconcerned about George WTF Bush and co-president Cheney's lies regarding an illegal war against a country that posed no threat to the U.S.?

I suppose because the typical American cares more about baseball than about what our government does. Yes, it's depressing, but it's true.

The reason Congress is interested is the anti-trust exemption baseball enjoys.

Thanks for the reply Tom. I'm no baseball fan and never have been, so the anti trust exemption is news to me. I'll have to see what you're referring to.
I also know Ben is right regarding American Interests.....and it is VERY sad.
