Richardson for Hillary?
This is interesting. According to The Politico, this Sunday both Chris Dodd and Bill Richardson will be on Face The Nation to discuss the presidential primaries. Now, it is certainly possible that Richardson will be staying neutral until after March 4th. But Dodd has already come out for Obama. If both senators are going on Face The Nation, what are we to make of that? I had been holding out hope that Richardson would come out for Obama in the end, but if something like that were in the works, it seems unlikely that Schieffer would invite two Obama surrogates for their analysis. Would Schieffer invite one Obama supporter and one neutral former-candidate? Or would he need a Clinton supporter to balance out Dodd? It is plausible that Richardson could be going on as a Clinton surrogate to counter Sen. Dodd, but I've heard no rumblings to that effect. Has anyone else heard anything?

Evan Bayh is also scheduled. In fact, Bayh and Dodd are listed as surrogates. Richardson seems to be cast as a party elder, in between the two, talking about the good of the party.

Ah. Phew.
What I guess that implies, then, is that Richardson will likely staying neutral through the 4th. Unless he decides to shock the nation and jump on the table, rip off his suit jacket, and reveal a fringed and beadazzled "Amigos de Obama" shirt underneath. It could happen.

Here's the lastest story from the NY Times on Richardson:

Similar statements as I've heard from several SDs - "my head is with Hillary, my heart is with Obama."
I'm not sure why would anyone endorse Hillary at this point. I could see endorsing her if she wins Ohio and could claim any momentum, but otherwise this would be the worst time to get on that sinking ship.
