Reject/Denounce
Just have to say... was there ever a danger that the Independence Party
was going to support Hillary Clinton in her Senate Campaign? Her saying
that she specifically rejected any potential support is akin to saying
"I won't accept John McCain's support if he opts to drop his run, and
drop out of the Republican party." Okay... so...

It was a poor moment for HRC. Obama is much clever-er about shutting up when something doesn't involve him. If HRC wanted more camera time, the only response would have been to congratulate Obama on not being anti-Semitic and show herself as graceful. Especially since it's a non-issue and everyone knows it.
Instead -- she was a "fighter".

Yea, as soon as I heard her trying to get into that conversation I knew nothing good could come of it for her. Instead of people wondering what the connection between Muslims, Jews and Obama is they are left with, "why is Hillary fighting about definitions"?

for someone who cares not about speeches, but about action, she sure is picky with them words (reject, denounce...)

A daring move on Senator Clinton's part. She didn't just speak out against anti-Semitism, she had the courage to do it in that hotbed of intolerance, New York.
Slightly more seriously. This was the most disturbing exchange of the debate. Speaking as a semi-proud alumnus of Solomon Schechter Jewish Day School, I am offended by the way that desiccated irrelevant old goof Farrakhan is trotted out every time an African American runs for anything, in order to frighten the bubbes and zeydes. It's really just another variation on the turban smear: a way of scaring white folks and marginalizing and exoticizing African Americans. This kind of racist guilt-by-association has to stop.

Your one-lines typically crack me up! Thanks!

She only jumped in to try to put heat to Obama. I think he countered very nicely.
As an African-American I was happy to hear his words on repairing the relationship between Jews and AAs.

I'll say this right now, load and clear. When I run for President in 2012 or (if I'm feeling frisky) in 2008 as an independent, I promise to reject, denounce, renounce, antinounce, disdain, disparage, deplore, and, if I may be blunt, shit on, any support that I receive from terrorists, child molesters, spammers, or circus clowns. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

That's supposed to be "loud and clear". The clowns switched my U and A keys.

I don't know, your word choice might have been right the first time…

Genghis, you left out “repudiate,” and I think I speak for everyone when I say that this omission only worsens our suspicions about you and your base of support. And what about mimes?

I felt that I had applied sufficient censorious adjectives, but some people are never satisfied. So if you feel that repudiation is important, I would repudiate. I would also condemn, criticize, censure, deprecate, despise, disown, dismiss, disrespect, revile, rebuke, reprimand, reprove, reproach, and finally wrinkle my nose in disgust. And then I would repudiate again for good measure.
Not the mimes though, I need their support.

Okay, but I'm wary of your unbridled embrace of mimes, who represent a silent threat to this country.

You're a sick anti-mimite. I repudiate you.

It is a shame that after all that you still have not said you directly reject their support.

Shame on YOU Tim Russert and shame on Hillary's feeble attempt to pile on.
