Public figures take the pressure
I am all for Hillary going to war with MSNBC and Shuster,
It is her choice to use whatever power she has, as she likes. The comment was crude, sexist, and junk commentary. If she can put a squeeze on the big media, she might as well.
On the other hand, Chelsea is a grown woman who has chosen to put herself in the public eye by campaigning for her parent. As such, I believe she is fair game, as are Hillary and Bill.

Fair game? That does pretty well encapsulate the predator/prey mind set of much of today's media as well as their sense of entitlement. The thing is they aren't really entitled to anything that any campaign doesn't want to tell them or give them access to.
Political campaigns and the media sometimes develop a mutually beneficial relationship. They use each other to stay in the spotlight. If the relationship ceases to be beneficial, what is to be gained by continuing it. No one should have to put up with slander.
You may argue for the public's right to know. True but fortunately there are still multiple sources of information through which a campaign can communicate not to mention multiple sources of information available to media people who don't have to be spoon fed.

I agree that by putting herself out there, (like calling all of the women on the view to win their endorsements) Chelsea has opened herself up for public commentary. The MSNBC comment was crude to say the least. But I think it's being blown out of proportion. It was a joke. A stupid, hurtful joke, but get over it already.
