McCain's Self Destruction

avatar

The New York Times and Washington Post stories, combined with McCain's battle with the FEC seems to be the beginning of the end of his campaign.  He may be rendered irrelevant faster that you can say Rudy Guliani.
When you look at the latest polling data, it suggests that Obama's greatest strength against Hillary is his ability to defeat McCain in the general election.  When it becomes painfully obvious that either Hillary or Obama could win in a landslide, does that change the voting dynamic in the upcoming primaries?

Interestingly enough, it seems that hatred of the NYT, that tried and true icon of the "liberal media" and their politically motivated hatchet jobs, may be galvanizing the right in support of McCain as we speak.

true-- it's been fascinating to watch the McCain-haters on the right rally around him over this.

It's the GOP Hate Algorithm kicking in. Hate for the NYT is greater than hate for McCain, so it has a higher priority in the decision tree. Also, the enemy of my enemy is my friend (McCain.)
