Jason Rae's 15 unfortunate minutes.

The Obama campaign has been handed a perfect storm. They have decided to cast their lot with the "pledged" delegates and are dismissing the superdelegates.
Enter Jason Rae, the youngest of the supers. He is now the posterchild of that gang of 800 unelected delegates. That he has more say than 13,000 voters will be seen for what it is: patently absurd.
The superdelegates will become a non-issue the more people see this kid on out teevees. Is it fair that Jason Rae has the same vote as Al Gore or John Edwards? Or you and I, voters who weigh our choices and cast our ballots?
I feel terribly sorry for Jason Rae. He has no idea what is happening. The networks fly him to New York to be on TV, unaware that he is making a mockery of our election.

Yes, the concept of superdelegates seems faulty - with that I completely agree. But, Jason Rae was elected to the DNC fair and square. Let's not be ageist. Remember, 17 year-olds voted in the Maryland primary.

I'm not being ageist.

Look at the image. He is now the happy face of the super delegates. The people we are referring to Party Elders. Voters will see this and draw their own conclusions. And while I agree that Mr. Rae won fair and square and probably knows more about politics than I ever will, he is not the best spokesman for the concept of super delegates.
