"I did not have sexual relations with that woman." Let's talk about character.

I've been fuming for the past 24 hours.  In between operating, taking call, and not sleeping, I've been keeping up my political addiction bouncing between CNN, FOX, MSNBC, TPM, RCP, and HuffPo.  Problem is, all I heard all day was plagiarism and nothing else.

Then all I heard was that it was important because it brings up questions about Obama's character.  Then someone at HuffPo (which I've decided is becoming more and more sensational for both sides) talk about how this will affect kids.

Really?  How about when the President of the United States went out and said that he did not have sexual relations with a White House woman?  And how about when parents had to explain to their kids what the President was doing with a Cigar and what mouth to genital contact was all about?  Who got disbarred and lied under oath?  That's right Bill Clinton.

Not fair, you argue, you can't bring Bill into it, Hillary has nothing to do with this.  Really?  Then Bill needs to stop talking.   Then he should just be quiet.

Let's talk about character.

And what about the message Clinton is bringing with her attack politics?  Attack people, and you'll get what you want.  Is that what all of the Hillary supporters teach their kids?  I was taught to hope and dream, but more importantly, to treat someone with respect.   Is this the message you want everyone to have Hillary?

Let's talk about character.

Hillary's camp is willing to disrespect a whole swath of citizens by saying they don't matter.  She's willing to overrule the popular vote of the people to get what she wants.  She will sacrifice democratic principles to win.  And this is showing integrity how?

If Hillary wanted to piss off a citizen, she's done it for me.  Call me a traitor for not voting Clinton if she wins - but I can't tolerate this type of behavior.  Nor can I tolerate the complete ridiculousness of the coverage of this race.  After Obama, if he loses, I like many people I know, will not vote Hillary.   That's just the way it is.

I know that I've just released the floodgates to all the Hillary backers to flame me.  I really don't care to hear from the flamethrowers.   I want the rational Hillary supporters to tell me how this is beneficial to the DNC and the nation. Convince me without calling me an idiot, ignorant, a cult member, etc.  Because right now, I just don't get it nor do I see how we can heal with the incredible divisiveness that Hillary is employing.

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman," is a phrase of "just words."

Hillary and her cult are not concerned with words, or rules, or facts, or anything that deters them from their God given right to the Presidency.

Stinks of desparate tactics. I'm glad you're on the republican side, I can imagine what shit you'd stir up if you were a democrat...

Is that sarcasm?

Gee, what makes you think it's sarcasm?

Just checking... I'd have to launch a rant if it wasn't...

It has come down to Hillary and Obama: he is ahead, she isn't. So she sends out her loyalists to spread the rumours, but it makes for sensational politics.

However IF anyone is to look at her speeches you'll see she has plagiarized Obama, Howard Dean, Jimmy Carter and a host of others. So this is just keeps getting pettier and pettier.

By attacking Obama she has exposed herself, her character and how she operates.

The media does not have anything to report so they indulge Clinton's campaign and do their dirty work.

Clinton is desperate so she resorts to using desperate means.

But it may work. That is the horror of it all.

Does anyone else find it ironic that the Unity Candidate has so far managed to rather thoroughly split the Democratic Party straight down the middle?

It's Clinton's fault. I don't mean this in a petty, finger-pointing way, but rather as a characterization of the woman; she polarizes. You're either with her or you're against her, and if you're against her, God help you. I'm sure this is not her intention, but the way she uses her team and the issues forces that to be the case. It's not Obama, but Clinton's depiction of Obama that has done this.

You must not be reading the same exit polls that I am…

(lack of) Character and the Clintons...the association goes waaay back:

Breaking news: Bill's Kazahkstan connection;
Previous: Hillary the carpetbagger, she had no connection to New York except that it fit her political ambitions;
Whitewater;
All of the lies and dirty politics of the present campaign;

And she had the gall to try and pin plagiarism and Rezko on Obama?

I have some advice for the Clinton campaign and their tactics:

If you piss in your pants you only stay warm for so long.

Well said, "Don't piss where you eat..."

"overrule the popular vote of the people" - remind you of anyone and a presidential election 8 years ago.
