This is hilarious.

It's funny as long as you take it as an e-mail from a typical twenty-something and not as actually mocking Chelsea, IMO. It could, however, be taken the wrong way.

That sums it all up! Thanks for the laugh.

I don't know if the pathetic grammar and punctuation is a deliberate attempt to suggest that Chelsea Clinton is an idiot, or whether the person who made the post is in fact an idiot.
(Call me crazy, but I'm sure a National Merit finalist and Stanford graduate knows, among other things, the difference between "its" and "it's.")
Still...Enough, already. We get it. You hate the Clintons. Even Chelsea. You love Obama. The only fools who don't love Obama are racists who fear change and oppose hope. Message received.
Considering your beloved Obama is, at this point, most likely going to be the nominee, can't you stop beating that poor dead horse and try to be gracious winners?
Because so far, I have yet to see in his followers all the hope and unity and change that the great Obama preaches.

Angry Mouse. I get it too; another person to remind us that the Clintons are evil, and this time he mocks Chelsea Clinton to do what he sets out to do.
I always taught my three voting age kids (each of whom supports Senator Obama with vigor but not one of whom has any feelings of hatred for things Clinton) that the only thing worse than being a sore loser is being a sore winner.
Who are these people who express such hate and disdain for the Clinton campaign and its supporters, from this particular snarky mocking of the brilliant and dignified Chelsea Clinton, to the implicit but unbridled and ugly assertions by "regular" posters, whose screeds are advertised on the front page of TPM, that those who support Senator Clinton are either right-wing stooges or worse, plain old fucking racists? Who are these people who levy such charges day in and day out, with reckless abandon and utter disregard for their brothers and sisters who don't think precisely like they do?
How far does this go? Look at the "recommended reader" blogs, virtually every one an attack on the Clintons. There will be some historians, a select but important few I submit, who will marvel at the dichotomy between Senator Obama's message of hope and the hatred spewed at Hillary Clinton and those of us who with pride have remained loyal to her, by some of Senator Obama's most vocal and ardent supporters.
These folks should remember: not every one is as yellow dog as I am--some folks will say screw it and stay home. And then we all lose.

For pete's sake, it's called a "sense of humor", not "hatred". Check out the difference. You are 100 percent wrong. Learn to admit it when you are.
Meanwhile, everyone knows that Chelsea is quite smart and well-spoken. She is a big plus for Hillary. Inventing reasons that Hillary is not getting as much support as Barrack is absolutely pathetic. As for "The only fools who don't love Obama are racists who fear change and oppose hope", that line sounds as if was taken straight from a Republican-hate verbage play book.

You know, the line of attack that any criticism of Obama is out of the Republican playbook is just so tired.

Agreed. Chelsea Clinton is (and should be) proud of her mother and her accomplishments. I'm sure that a similar email from one of Obama's children chastising him for building a cult of personality would be seen as "racist" and "desperate."

When Imus slandered the Rutgers basketball team, his defenders countered, hey, it was all in jest.

Trying to put this humor at the same level as Imus' gross slander is nothing less than absolutely disgusting.

Lighten up people!!!
Am I the only one that read this as a riff on generational gaps and nothing more?!? T'wasn't about Chelsea but about her parents' apparent political tone-deafness.

You do realize that line came from a Clinton supporter, right? Race was not brought up by clearthinker, but by Angry Mouse.
That said, I did anticipate (if you'll read my previous post) the ability to interpret this as an attack on Chelsea herself. If that was the intent (and I don't think it was), then that was improper, IMO. I completely agree that Chelsea (and Hillary) have every right to be proud of their accomplishments. Of course, if I were Chelsea, I would be embarrassed by these most recent antics, and I believe that was clearthinker's point.
I.e., it's a joke. Don't take it too seriously.
