Cunningham to Endorse Hillary?

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=75014288

(link to audio)
NPR thought it was fine to repeat "Barack Hussein Obama" over and over, and didn't ask any obvious follow-up questions to Cunningham's assertions that he was simply calling Barack by his full name, like all Presidents.

A question that I would have asked:  "Like Ronald Reagan?"

Another great Cunningham quote:  "The problem with the media, they treat Obama like he's a diety."  Uh-huh.  He must be watching a different media, that doesn't just repeat every Muslim, drug-dealer story that orginates on Fox news.  Or, the New York Times, which called out Obama's drug use on their front page.
Or, maybe the real point to have Cunningham on NPR, was for him to say that McCain has Alzheimers and so he forgot what Cunningham said.

But here's my favorite part:
"I got an inquiry an hour ago froma Hillary supporter, and she has indicated she'd like to come on my radio talk show... and I think Hillary has a better shot at defending this nation's borders and being an institutionalist in the White House then either McCain or Obama, who's to the left of Senator Bernie Sanders.  So I would go to sleep every night feeling better with Hillary Clinton in the White House, and Bubba upstairs. So, yes, I may endorse soon Hillary Clinton."

He might endorse Hillary Clinton, but I sincerely doubt Clinton would associate in any way with him.

ahh, but would she reject and denounce him?

The very fact that Hillary pressed the Jewish question in the last debate makes me think she would have NO PROBLEM with Cunningham endorsing her.

She's probably make some snide comment, like, "I'm just reaching out to other Republicans."

Yeah, she probably would. There's no danger in her losing any real supporters by doing so, so it's the politically smart thing to do. I know she hasn't always done the smart thing, but this would be such a slam dunk that I don't see any other possible outcome.

No. Cunningham will not endorse Hillary Clinton. He was being sarcastic, he was being an asshole, he was being Bill Cunningham. He's a wackjob.

I don't know, he sounded pretty serious to me.

Of course, it's easy to endorse someone who won't win the Democratic primary.

I also thought this could be a ploy: Some think-headed Hillary fans could think this means she would actually do better with Republicans than Obama...

surely, that's not true?

But, one thing the recent GOP attacks have shown is, I won't be surprised if the Republican Convention is done all in black face. After all, those Purple Heart band-aids worked, right?

That doesn't mean he wouldn't endorse Hillary Clinton—just to be perverse. (I don't mean to imply that one has to be perverse to support her, just that it'd be his reason.)
