  • A second perspective on Obama's macaca moment

This could also be calculated by Obama to elicit the division his comment made. He's been losing in small towns. He'll be glad to capture a few to add to his overwhelming advantage in heavily African-American areas. Remember, he tried...more »

It was bound to happen, given the time, Obama was going to show his true color. Thus far, the media has given him a pass every time he had a gaffe. Little is known about him and being new on...more »

  • It'll be a mistake for Hillary to take the VP spot inasmuch as Obama needs her to win in November. In the event that the ticket won, Obama will get all the credit. And if the ticket lost, Obama's campaign and the entire Dem leadership will all blame it on Clinton.

  • However, none other than Obama is campaigning on the message of new politics and not that same old, same old Washington politics. That means only Obama's campaign message can't be trusted.

  • Marioth,
This election is all about Michelle Obama. She's a proud American for the first time in her adult life after her husband won causes states. We should all vote for Obama to really, really make her very proud for the first time in her life.

  • The democrats who won in MS and LA don't have the same politics and stands as Obama. They won because they're of conservative mold, hence, tactics to associate them with Obama failed. They're democrats in name only -- much like Lieberman nowadays.
Tim Mahoney is doing what Obama would have done in his place.

If the ticket lost, they will BLAME Hillary.

  • In our democracy, the only votes that count are those votes that have been cast. You have to exercise your civic duty to vote for it to count.

The rest who didn't vote gave up their voices by default to those who voted who now are the voices of FL and MI.

You can't just dismiss that the votes cast don't reflect the will of the people. It's most likely that that the votes of those who didn't make it to the polls mirror those who voted.

You can't argue about something that isn't there. The only valid arguments about votes are on the votes that exist or were cast.

You're simply stretching the what might be to fit your agenda.

  • Michelle Obama is free and does lambast the United States and Obama says you can't criticize her. It tells you the double standard Obama applies to himself and his wife. His subtext is you're a racist if you won't vote for him while blacks who won't vote for Hillary are proud of their race-kindred Obama.

Posted at May 19, 2008 10:39 AM in response to Obama: GOP "Should Lay Off My Wife"

  • Any delegate can decide who to support when it gets to the convention. However, until the primary gets to the convention, pledged delegates are bound by their electorate choice. When all the votes are in, they're supposed to revisit all the information from the primaries and see if what the vote was for when the delegate was elected still holds true. Then, the delegate may change course as sees fit. There are millions more to vote and this delegate has prejudiced his choice.
