September 2, 2008 UPDATE: Tharin Gartrell has a detention hearing and preliminary hearing:

Tharin Gartrell appeared in U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Hegarty’s court this morning for a detention hearing and a preliminary hearing. The defendant waived his right to a preliminary hearing. Thus, Magistrate Judge Hegarty found there was probable cause that Gartrell committed the drug trafficking crime alleged in the Criminal Complaint. Also, Magistrate Judge Hegarty ordered Gartrell released to a half-way house, however Gartrell will likely remain in custody as he faces a probation violation hearing in Denver. The defendant’s next court hearing is Friday, September 12th, for arraignment. The government has 30 days from August 28, 2008, to obtain a federal grand jury indictment.

The next court hearing for Gartrell will be Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at 10:00 am before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Hegarty, for a detention hearing and a preliminary hearing.

  • Rec'd. And before anyone defend Palin by saying that speech was written over a week ago, I say BULLSHIT. It's accountability, baby. You opened the door for Biden and I can't wait for the debate and IF you decide you're "informed" well enough to do an interview.

  • I bet a majority of that 37 mil were the same democrats that watched Obama. But with Palin, sadly, they don't know anymore than they did on Tuesday--she's a pittbull with lipstick, shameful waste of lipstick.

  • Let's see, she was for the "Bridge to Somewhere" before she was against the "Bridge to Nowhere" -- in other words you prefer candidates who talk about you one way in Ketchican and another way in St. Paul.
