I understand completely Brian. I had to give up the Kool-Aid when Senator Obama proved what an out of touch elitist he was when he asked for orange juice in a diner in my hometown. I was so insulted, as I'm sure the owners of that diner were. When I go home next month I'll stop by and apologize to them for my former support of him.

I disagree that people who have health insurance don't care about people that don't. I think you are taking this a bit far. My husband and I have health insurance that we purchase ourselves since we are self-employed. My husband was recently hospitalized for 3 days, the bill was 33,000.00, we have to pay 6000.00 of that and in 6 months, 1000.00 a month or they will turn it over to a collection agency. Every time I talked to the hospital or the insurance company I voiced my opinion on the cost of health care for the working poor and middle class. I spoke up and asked them how a middle class family could afford to pay 1000.00 a month on a hospital bill. The answer was they could file for hardship and get an extension of 6 more months. So a family would only have to pay 500.00 a month or risk having their credit ruined. I also brought up the fact that an uninsured person would not get the insurance company discount and would be responsible for the whole 33,000.00. And every time I talk to them I take the opportunity to tell them that this is why the American people want national healthcare.

Female says,
whore
3: a venal or unscrupulous person
Adjective unscrupulous has 2 senses1. unscrupulous - without scruples or principles; "unscrupulous politicos who would be happy to sell...their country in order to gain power"

As Mr. Colbert would ask "Great Speech or the greatest speech?"
This sounds to me like it is coming from the marsh. Which in turn tells me it may have originated on Fox News. I hope that I will never be part of that we that is the marsh and Fox News.Posted at April 1, 2008 12:52 PM in response to Obama’s “A More Perfect Union” Speech: Lincolnesque or Obfuscation?

I'm not interested in reporting anyone, I was just curious. I was amazed at what some of her supporters were doing in order to answer Senator Clinton's pleas for money. Some of them were just sad.

I have a question about finance laws. First I confess I was at the Marsh the other night, just reading comments for a laugh. Anyway one woman has maxed out her contributions and she had another woman set up an ebay auction that she intended to win. In various comments they were encouraging others to go bid to drive up the price with the assurance that they would not get stuck paying. Anyway the final bid was around 700.00 and the woman that ran the auction donated the money to the Clinton campaign. Is this legal?

I heard him tell her no when she asked if she should go for Obama also. But I am sure that this is the double super secret bamboozle, okie dokie that only Senator Clinton supporters can understand.

UCAdy04, I completely agree, I think people are so used to the yelling sound bites of what is called news these days that they have lost the ability to hear or read anything that is thoughtful.
After a while it looks to me like nothing more than sharks circling, looking for a hint of blood.Posted at March 28, 2008 9:24 PM in response to Sen. Obama Says Rev. Wright Apologized; Did We Miss It? I Guess Not. More Trouble.

As the mother of 2 daughters one of the things I am proud of them for is that neither of them are Clinton supporters. They see her as a manipulator, an exaggerator and certainly not a strong woman. I thought it was my responsibility to instill in my daughters that they could achieve what they wanted and it never crossed my mind to give that job to a politician.
You do not speak for me, I do not need Senator Clinton to be president to validate my worth as a woman. Nor do I see a win at any cost attitude as something to admire nor something that I want my daughters to emulate.Posted at March 28, 2008 8:52 PM in response to An Open Letter to Hillary: Don't Quit!
