  • I agree, there is no upside and we can disagree with positions by pointing out the weakness in positions without being disrespectful to Senator Clinton. I am certain Senator Obama will want her unqualified support for the general election, so bashing ( even when justified) is not prudent at this point.

  • Gary, I really like and respect your posts, however I disagree somewhat with this one. I follow everything pretty closely as well, probably to close for my own good. I really do not want Obama top be a spin machine providing talking points 24 hours a day-- at least not now.

We know where he stands on the real issues and the daily skirmishes ( has he gone to Baghdad enough etc ) are just attacks which Obama needs to take head on. I think you will see a different operation after he gets the nomonation and is not fighting 2 battles at the same time.

Anyway, I think constructive criticism is good and hopefully the campaign will take your thoughts into account as they move forward. Thomas Abrams

  • As a 46 year old I have never been so excited about a candidate as I am about Senator Obama. Many of my friends and millions of others feal the same, including a huge influx of youn g people who are really involved in his campaign. That initself is a great contribution to Politics in America and the Democratic Party.

Senator Obama has also proven a campaign can be primarily funded by small donors like me-- not the fat cats who expect something other than good governance in exchange for their contributions. That initself gives Obama the ability to govern without great indebtedness to the big donors which Mccain will have to rely on.

I hope you can see the unique and special qualities of the campaign and the Senator. No , he is not perfect , yes he has flaws and is only human , but he is a special and I believe transformative figure.

  • I agree with you, but I think if we stay with this thing Obama will prevail. I think it is just a matter of time before there is another party or real independent candidates as the ability to raise money quickly over the internet has changed everything as Senator Obama has proven. Let's fight this one to the end and see where it takes us. Tom Abrams

  • Excellent !!

Posted at April 19, 2008 4:38 AM in response to First, Hillary blamed ....

  • I respectfully think the blog misses the point-- Senator Clinton's comments are offensive to all of Obama's supporters as it unfairly and innacurately suggests his support is limited to a group which did not even support him until February. That is the real story line in my mind together with her lack of candor in saying one thing in private and another in public.
