I don't think it's at all related to "blue collar" or "women". Zogby's problem is more related to the 65+ crowd. My guess is that Zogby's accuracy depends highly on the turnout ratio of 18-30 vs 65+ demographics.Posted at May 6, 2008 12:26 PM in response to Zogby: Obama Expanding Lead In North Carolina, Pulling Ahead In Indiana

This comment hit home for me.
I just realized that I am the the type of person Hillary is desperately trying to connect with.
Now, I don't waste my money on that high-class Skoal or Copenhagen, nothing but generic Grizzly for me. However, I'm a farmer (part-time), a gun owner, a drinker, and many of those other things that rural PA residents commonly are.
Connection FAILED.
Hillary claiming to be a hunter reminds me of the many attempts by Kerry to connect with my demographic. As a Kerry supporter, I remember burying my face in my hands each time.

The best part was that it was all started over using "Clinton's". Although technically incorrect, it has actually become quite common usage for surnames to be written this way.
My wife works at a monument shop and they engrave hundreds of granite boulders every year. Usually it's for the front yard and says "The Smiths est 1995" or something similar. Lots of people request the incorrect way even after she warns them it is not correct. The reasoning goes something like this: Hey! My last name is Smith not Smiths. I don't want people running around calling me Mr. Smiths!
This is even more common for people with a last name that ends in "s". For example, the "The Jones's" looks a lot better to Mr. Jones than "The Joneses" does.

You are completely right. However, this is completely right about all of the other major pollsters too.
Zogby averages a whopping 7.82% error this season. Of course when you compare that to all of the other pollsters who have done 10+ polls this season he falls in the middle of the pack.
SurveyUSA appears to stand alone as by far the most accurate pollster, but then again they did make this "report card".Posted at February 29, 2008 10:18 AM in response to Zogby: Obama Up In Texas, Close Race In Ohio

I don't get it. What are they upset about so late in the process?
