  • Wow...I haven't been reading diaries on TPM for a while, but you really do have a significant troll problem on here!!

I have been spending most of my time at Balloon Juice... we too have a lot of trolls come in and spew rubbish, but they have been very quiet lately... this seems to be because they either get ignored entirely or mocked mercilessly... the discussion is a hell of a lot ruder over there than it is here, but it does my soul good to see a rethuglican being mercilessly pilloried for their stupid views every now and then... and somehow, the serious discussion of issues manages to go on, whereas here the trolls seem to be able to derail the discussion into their own stupid talking points...

    Very strange.

  • Much as I would love to donate to Obama, your donation laws say that we are not allowed to...

  • Errol Flynn, Cate Blanchett, Jeffrey Rush, Heath Ledger, Peter Finch, Naomi Watts.

Lachlan Macquarie, Ben Chifley, John Curtin, Sir Henry Parkes, Sir Edmund Barton, Sir Isaac Isaacs, Neville Bonner, Robert Menzies, Eddie Mabo - Just because you haven't heard of them doesn't mean that they didn't have as big an effect on the well being and rights of people as those you have cited.

Spike Lee is a win? Really?

    ACDC.

And, yes, we have had universal healthcare since 1975.

Now that I have that off my chest...

Don't underestimate the goodwill that people all around the world feel towards Americans, and the fervent hope that we feel that Americans make the right choice in this election...

We got rid of our right wing, oppressive, corrupt government last year, and many of us hope that you get the opportunity to do the same... Our new government is not perfect, but they have ideas and are willing to try things, unlike our previous government which was all about power for its own sake...

I was recently in Asia and Europe, and on occasion wore my Obama tshirt... Every time I wore it, people would come up to me, five or six a day, to voice their support for Obama - people in Singapore, Portugal, the UK, the Netherlands...

We all hope you make the right decision and give hope a try.

  • As I would say on Balloon Juice:

    Fogu:

Blah, blah, blah McCain. Meep meep meep irresponsible. Blah, Blah, blah gambler. Oh noes! they haz worked out I is a republikan.

You FAIL. Go away. The adults on here are going to press the "ignore" button.

  • Just to clarify - I think that Hillary SHOULD finally realise that it is all over and just get the hell out goddammit - but am amazed at the amount of mental effort we are all expending on discussing it...

I'm sure there is some sort of metaphor relating to Hillary sitting in her car which won't start, except I'm not sure who should be adjusting her points...

  • Frank,

Given the endless, pointless jabbering that is going on all over the left wing interwebs about when Hillary will finally realise that it is all over and just get the hell out goddammit, your minimalist post comes as a breath of fresh air.

    Thoroughly recommended.

  • There's something vaguely inappropriate about "Don't block the shot" that I like, particularly if coupled with a PFLAG donation...
