I just watched that Daily Show segment. He goes on to say that he would have loved for McCain to run with Kerry, and that he himself asked him to do it. Anybody who does the smallest bit of research about this will find out that this says a lot more about McCain (the old so-called maverick, and the new GOP yeasayer we're seeing now) than about Biden.

The question is: will the chattering class be fooled, or spend four minutes doing a bit of research like I just did? I'm not holding my breath.

Absolutely. He's got no accountability left waiting for him, so he can be the dirtiest loyal-Bushie foot soldier he wants to be. That's what's being on that team means: you go shout your mouth off on Fox News, you make threatening phone calls to your local US Attorney, and then you fade into the limelight.

I get sad every time the idea that France is America's nemesis get pushed, including through jokey stories like this. It feels kind of like the New Yorker cover: you're perpetuating the meme. Joe Redstate can think whatever he wants of us, I don't mind, but that "OMG FRENCH" stuff got old long ago coming from people who know better.
