The Clintons are insiders - of the Democratic party machine. While the Bush Republicans have had the White House for the past 7 years, the democrats nonetheless had outstanding election results in the mid-terms, many with the support and campaign...more »

I would suggest that we visit Joe LIEberman's Senate website an email our feelings to him right away. That ought to at least let him know that, while CT may have erroneously voted for him, the rest of the country sees him for the political jackal he is, and we see through his (to copy a term) "scumbaggery".

It's no surprise to me what a turncoat Lieberman is. He seeks any political advantage when it comes to his own hide. I'm sorry Gore lost the race but happy Lieberman did not become VP. Think of all the backstabbing that would have gone on in a Gore administration. I'm sure that sniveling scoundrel will get his come next election cycle for the Senate. Especially when more people become aware of what LIE-berman did to Obama thanks to this excellent reporting.

This guy should seek out a linguistics coach. Or maybe he's drunk AND a liar. I'm sick of these guys using the public till as their personal patronage fund. Everyone knows damn well that he slipped that change in post facto; yet, there he is, trying to lie his way out so hard that he can't speak or look at anyone directly for fear that his lying eyes will betray him. His speech already has. It is the people's job to make sure he is not reelected for another term - ever. And responsible private citizens should not hire this man for any job higher than a fast food shlepper (not meant as an insult to fast-food workers). As usual, dishonesty thrives in our civil service.

That women is a moron supreme. Where in the world did they dig her up in the first place? Fired not a moment too soon. Her word bi-play with the congressional committee should have been an embarrassment for her, but I'm sure she doesn't see it that way. She probably walked out of the room thinking: "Nailed it!". We need a government of true servants of the public good. I grow so tired of these self-interested, self-inflated morons who get propelled from obscurity to pseudo fame. But the fame almost always come about because of some malfeasance or other. I've been waiting for four years for another election so we can get rid of some of those appointees.Posted at May 2, 2008 1:11 AM in response to St. Lurita

"Bill and Hillar..CLINTON08"?! Are you kidding me? Bill Clinton, alright....but Hillary leading the democrats in the last generation? I think that is delusional thinking. The only contribution Hillary Clinton made during her husband's tenure was a failed, overreaching and arrogant shot at a national health care policy. After that disaster, Hillary was not involved in the White House's policy proposals again! Why buy into her campaign's nonsense about her vast 35 years of political experience when a check of her record clearly shows otherwise? She has no foreign policy experience, no budgetary/financial experience. She's a smart lady, but there are lots of smart women in this country. That does not entitle her to the nomination for the presidency if she cannot gain delegates by the rules, and so far, the American people (at least democrats, mostly) have not rewarded her those delegates by way of the caucuses and primaries. By the way: if she want shares in the successes of the Clinton years she should also share the scandals - Travelgate, Whitewater, etc. She is part of the democrat old guard who have either caved in to republicans on many of the country's most important issues or have not inspired any confidence that she can effect change, even following the most divisive, inept administration in 80 years.
The country wants new blood, new ideas... new leadership! And not the kind gained by sitting on the board of WalMart.Posted at March 24, 2008 10:07 PM in response to WHY HILLARY WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT: PARTS 1 AND 2

What I have been saying all along about experience HRC vs. Obama. Creating the perception that Hillary has an overwhelming mountain of experience when the bulk of her career was as a lawyer-advocate is patently unfair to voters when the media does not perform this kind of analysis of the public record. The same thing should be reviewed vis. Obama's state senate record.
