ABC's Debate Was Just a Symptom
How many times have we heard the statement, "This is just politics", made during some of the lowest points of this election? The people who make it act as if there is some immutable law of nature at work here....more »

What Kind of Monster is Your Candidate?
There have been some suggestions floating around the interwebs lately that, in order to cool the passions generated by this primary, we should remind ourselves that our candidate sucks. I think that's good advice, if you can manage, but it's...more »

Obama should find an American-made US Constitution lapel pin and wear it. Does such a thing exist?

Hillary Clinton: suicide bomber? She has to assume people are going to bring this stuff up. She has to assume that we she criticizes the personal relationships of others, she's inviting criticism of her own. Maybe she's trying to lose.
And I agree with fabooj. It struck me as incredibly presumptuous when she said she'd just quit the church. Even as an outsider, she would know that there's probably a community there you don't just up and quit. She's not an idiot. But she's relying on others to be idiots for her.

"Amateur hour" could mean a lot of things. Winning the majority of delegates, winning the majority of the popular vote, actually having a plan for after Super Tuesday. I think Phil Singer should be specific and explain exactly how much of Obama's campaign has been "amateur".

I know Obama's claim of having had a better judgement on Iraq. I know that we will continue to disagree on that. But the reason many Clinton voters are not influenced by this is simply because they haven't bought into the "better judgement" claim.
For me, his track record on Iraq actually undermines his claim to judgement. The fact of Rezko and the latest admission on Rezko. The inconsitencies in his current and past claims about Rev. Wright. In my view, the fact that NAFTA and "monster" incident happened at all is proof that Obama judgement is not better or worse than the judgement of the majority of politicians.
Congratulations! Considering the candidate to whom your currently throwing your support (and the sheer volume of shady people she's supposed to have associated with), this is the most ironic two paragraphs you could have written. Are you sure you're not subconsciously a self-loathing Obama supporter?

You're right. That statement changes everything. Hillary's a flip-flopper.

Putting that through the binary translator, it actually says "Hillary's campaign is dead" backwards.

Amazing how, when Obama wins caucuses, suddenly caucuses are the enemy. Same with small states. And same with African-Americans. Personally, I say: mail-in or caucus, small state or big state, white or black, I don't care. Bring 'em on.
Although it is true that caucuses are more likely to net the more engaged voter while mail-ins are more likely to net the "I know that name; I'll vote for that person" voter. That said, the "I know that name..." definitely represents a good portion of America. Whether I like it or not.
