There is more coverage of Obama and more scrutiny - including endless, endless analysis of fist jabs. How about John gets more coverage, more scrutiny, including some BS coverage to make it fair - endless coverage of Cindy McCain stealing drugs from her non-profit would be good.

I agree. The clip of him responding to that question was revealing of several major McCain flaws. He was confused. He could not remember. He was extremely uncomfortable with the topic. And he seemed to be trying very hard to control his temper. I wish that clip would be played more.

I canvassed there during the primary and spoke to several republican leaning independents who were clearly voting for a democrat this year - and were deciding which one to support in the primary. I think it is really in play.

I find myself reacting to her reaction as much as to the original comment. Once again, she cannot admit a mistake, she cannot apologize, she cannot reflect on what happened and be sincere. She can't say: I can see how that sounded and I apologize. I think that is because she lies to herself as much as she lies to us. I'd feel sorry for her but I think, as you've expressed in your post, why it's dangerous to ever believe she will do the right thing. I think she is so angry and victimized that she will not stop trying to damage his chances to win.

I understand what you are saying. I was 6 when RFK was killed and it is one of my strongest early memories. I grew up thinking that any truly good leader gets killed. And she tapped into that fear. And she must have known that she would - she's something.

There was nothing coded at all about her comment. She said that she should stay in because Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June - and so Barack Obama could be assassinated is the natural next thought. Again - she is talking to the "white folks". We've all heard people express either fear or expectation that Obama would be assassinated. My slightly racist sister and very racist cousin told me - I just don't get it. She is talking to that crowd - the group that thinks they get something real about America that we Obama supporters just don't want to understand. Those have become Hillary's people - and she is talking to them.

I'm hoping that there are still some intelligent voters left to switch to Obama from this gas tax pander. I canvassed in Indiana last weekend and I did talk with some smart and still undecided people. I think this is a new low for her - but I seem to say that about every week. If anyone can volunteer and make calls this weekend for Obama - it could really help.

I watched 2 things last night. Hillary on Keith's show and Obama on the Daily Show. Two completely different things of course - with different purposes - but what a contrast! Did anyone see Hillary? It made me really uncomfortable to watch her. I'm sure doing Keith's show was hard for her - he has been very hard on her lately. But wow - it was kind of excruciating.

I have no idea now this works - this was the post -
I’ve heard Senator Obama say emphatically that if the republicans come at him, he will fight back and fight hard. Well I want to see that now. They have come at him. Yes it’s been a bit confusing because it’s wrapped up with Senator Clinton coming at him. But honestly – the question of how he will handle it is a question to answer now.
Go on a patriotic blast – Now! I believe he loves his country immensely to put himself through what he has, and will, endure. But it’s not me he needs to convince. Do a national ad with the vet in Erie thanking him for running. Do an ad with 21 year olds saying that after 8 years of George Bush being mocked all over the world that they feel immense pride in Obama. Get Michelle out there more talking about her appreciation for the investment in public education that led her to unique opportunity in life.
There is so much that is positive, in keeping with his campaign theme, that can be done now – before the media continues to question him on this.
Obama has the grace and ability to be tough without being an obnoxious jerk. McCain is much more susceptible to coming off badly in this type of fight. Obama does not have to cede patriotism to McCain, but after wathing McCain be interviewed this morning I think he may have to cede grace to Obama.

I've simply lost track of the number times that she has insulted me in this campaign. She really is amazing! I'm a move-on member - a group started to defend her husband, I'm from a state that doesn't matter, I'm an elitist who doesn't need a president. Wow. She hates me, she really, really hates me.
