You may be widely read but it's obvious you don't know anything about the existential reality of antiblack racism in America. Reading about something and living it everyday are not equivalent. Calling Wright's church "racist" provides clear evidence to me that you have not benefited from your reading of Dubois or Malcolm. Instead, I see only the profound depths of your ignorance of these matters, some of which I believe is willful. And no matter how much you try to come off as being reasonable on the issue of racism, your analysis of the issue is no different than that of the "typical" so-called "white" convervative in this country who thinks "post-racial" means we all can forget about discrimination and the legacy of slavery and apartheid in America and simply move on. In fact, remarks similar to yours come out of the mouths of Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh every time the issue of racism is the topic of dicussion.

Black people have every right to hate the injustices that have occurred in this country. Everyone should hate the systems of slavery and apartheid that have existed here for the vast majority of this nation's history.

  • When Novemeber comes and americans have to fill their gas tanks with five dollar a gallon gas, pay for it with a U.S. dollar that isn't worth a quarter, do you really believe the vast majority will go to the polls and vote for John more-of-the-same McCain? I think the wheels will come off the McCain campaign wheelchair long before Novemeber.
