Sarah Palin will outperform expectations
At this point, expectations are so low for Sarah Palin that she is sure to blow them out of the water. Just showing general competence as a politician who can deliver a stump speech and stay on message will...more »

Yes I realy want to know more abut her involvement with the 527. What exactly did this organization do, and where did it get its funding. I didn't ralize from the initial bio that there was a 6 year break between her being Mayor and her being Govenor. I think there is probably more fishy stuff to come from those years in between.

I think you don't attack Sarah here, you attack John McCain's judgement. Really, of all the candidates to be a heart beat away from the presidency, he thought she was the best candidate? VP choices aren't about the VP, (who seriously votes based on the VP?) they are about the judgement of the presidential candidate.

That was the first thing that came to mind. I thought Palin was a long shot until I read about her forcing someone to fire her sister's exhusband. That's petty small town corrupt politics. Alaska's politics seems to have been a cess pool of corruption. Does the Veco scandal touch her at all? It seems to have touched everyone else in Alaska.
I think Palin is pretty much token. There is no way he picked her with an eye to the possibility she will have to step in before his term is over.

How about an ad saying
"John McCain approves of ads that lie and distort the truth in order to get elected. If he was president could we really trust him to tell us the truth?"
Then show clips of the various lies that got us into the iraq war.

I get angry with the way McCain keeps on calling for victory in Iraq. Iraq at this point is a civil war, and in a civil war there is no winner, there is just tragedy. Calling for victory is really just a recipe for staying there indefinitly.

I think the 14% is an indication that a large percentage of respondents lie just to mess with the polls. The confidence interval on all polls are pure BS because of this. I give surveys what they pay for. If they are willing to give some sort of compensation I make an effort, if they expect me to give them for free the raw material for their reports, then they can expect me not to answer them too seriously.

The scary bit is that Bush was pushing for Georgia to join NATO even though it had these unfinished wars and foreign occupation. If they had actually joined NATO this would have destroyed NATO.
The Georgians are so close to the Bush administration I have to wonder if they got the go ahead from Bush to attack S. Ossetia before they made thier move.
I think this little war is bad news for the Democrats as it could blow up into a major issue for the election. The Republicans love any issue that will distract the electors from the state of the economy. Restarting the cold war to win an election? Nah could never happen could it?

This is a really mucky story. It boils down to a war profiteer working to prolong the war in order to make more money. I bet this Sargeant guy has some Arab business associates who are the real war profiteers behind these strawmen donations.
I would look into the family connections of the strawmen. Are they all from Jordan by any chance? Are their families originally all from the same village in Jordan? Who is on the board of IOTC, who provides the actual trucks and Jordanian drivers for IOTC? any connections?
