A Veep for Barack Obama
We made it. A 15% win in N.C. and a narrow 2% win for Hillary in Indiana. What a great contest!I've tossed around ideas of folks who would be great VP choices in conversations with other Obama supporters and I've...more »

Krugman Sticks it to Obama ... Again
For the umpteenth time, Paul Krugman has devoted his precious space in print and online claiming that Barack Obama is really speaking for Republicans when seeks to bridge the divide and tries to convince America that he's the right candidate....more »

A Former Presidential Candidate and Obama
Lately there's a grumbling in the media about the similarity of former Democratic nominee George McGovern's run for the White House and Barack Obama's. Maybe that makes him unelectable!!! *sarcasm* Those same people said that electability was a factor that...more »

Obama: Bloggers Are the Future!
He didn't really say that, but check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyNzC9W2C8QObama talks about how connected he wants his government to be to the people. Town hall meetings — with him and his cabinet — and a White House web site...more »

The Wright Stuff
Now that Barack Obama has separated himself from Rev. Wright, an act that visibly cut Obama to the quick, maybe all — but the far right — can get back to deciding who's right on the issues. I still have...more »

I think what's stunning is the quickness to give Clinton the popular vote advantage when there are caucus states that don't factor into this metric. If our primary process were all based on voting, then there would be a compelling argument for the opposition. However, when caucus states are ignored in the popular vote metric like they were ignored in the month of February by the Clinton camp there is a clear message that those states don't count. That they are undemocratic. High school Social Studies courses teach that our democracy is too large to allow for elections that are determined by popular vote alone. Whether that is a point that we all agree with is unimportant, what is important is that all participants understand the rules and follow them while in an election. When the election is over, maybe the election process can be updated. Until then lets all follow the rules and support whoever is the candidate.

Thanks for saying as much. We're all really on the same team. And it's clear that we care immensely about our country and its leaders or, rather, in choosing its leaders. I think that more voices like yours will bring the Democrats the presidency.

This is remarkable. I just wrote a post about how Obama is no McGovern based on McGovern's own words. Not only did pegging him as McGovern fail, he now has the respected Senator's support.

The assumption is that those delegates definitely wouldn't be seated otherwise. Both Howard Dean and the Obama campaign assure that the delegates will be seated in a way fair to both candidates -- helping the ensure the victory for Democrats in the Fall. This story suggests that Hill will use her influence to make it go her way -- helping to divide the mildly divided Dem electorate.
It wouldn't be a matter of making her case or proving her value. It reads as an inside job.
