  • Siccing Don and Alice--or even Bob and Carol and Ted--on recalcitrant Democrats isn't going to get the job done. Barack himself--the Great Uniter--is going to have to fight his own battles.

He didn't get off to a great start by turning into a flip-flop machine.

  • Bill Clinton was a successful governor with a record. Obama is barely a senator. He'd better not screw up on his trip. He can't afford any mistakes.

  • Obama has been a flip-flop machine since he clinched to nomination. Do you suppose that has anything to do with his fundraising problems?

I guess not. As usual, it's the fault of greedy Hillary.

Your guy is a real uniter, isn't he? If you don't need "the bitch," don't complain that she's not pulling her weight. Let Obama shake down his own donors.

  • Barack Obama has become a virtual flip-flop machine in the last few weeks, and it hasn't cost him a thing on the left. (Have you seen David Corn's contortions on TV lately? Embarrassing.) He's got to be feeling like Superman, or at least like L. Ron Hubbard.

There won't be much left of his "progressivism" by November, but I don't think he cares.

  • One man's troll is another man's truth-teller. And Obama hasn't exactly covered himself in glory lately-not that he ever has. Ooops--does that make me a troll? So be it. I don't trust Obama--and he's not the boss of me! (I hope the A-list blogger thought police aren't able to use their giant creative-class brains to track me down and haul my sorry bitter ass to Obama camp.)

  • Whenever I feel as though I might want to vote for Obama, his supporters talk me out of it. He's heading up a movement I'd rather not be associated with.

  • I see no reason for Obama to make a "major address" on patriotism. Why do Americans need a politician to tell them how to feel about their country? Besides, if Obama's big speech was anything like the one he made in Philadelphia after the Wright debacle, he'll be renouncing it soon anyway. Stick to the issues, Barack. You talk too much.

  • Obama doesn't have the credentials to be strongly progressive on ANY national security issue.

He'll be running scared the whole campaign.

Thanks Howard and Nancy! Heckuva job!

  • Given Bush's 23% rating and the frighteningly bad economy, Obama should be doing a lot better. Blaming things on the Clintons is for losers. It's not their fault Obama has no record of accomplishment. Voters are right to be skeptical, no matter how bad McCain is. This is serious business.

Obama is the damn candidate. Can we take off his training wheels now?
