  • That's my governor! Thanks for bringing this to my attention I had heard about eariler errors but not this one. It's going to take a LOT of vigilence to reduce voter suppression and voter fraud aside from human error.
According to an article in Huffpost NY had some mail in ballots sent out with Barack 'Osama' written on it instead of Barack Obama. Pretty Lame but at least early enough in the process. I am not comfortable mailing in my ballot but I will go vote early. We have the choice of paper ballots or voting machine here in Boulder.

  • I am not a professional in the feild of psychology but I was once in a relationship with a man who had schizoprenic tendencies.

In my studies I have learned that a leader is reflected in the entity he is leading.

We can see a reflection of McCain in his campaign, in the people who are running his campaign, in his VP Sarah Palin, and in his crowds both via himself and Palin. You can see much of what you are talking about throughout.

The current state of our country is reflection of our president. Cheney is a reflection of Bush...the adminsration and how they have functioned are a reflection of Bush.

Fortunately we do have a possibility of electing a leader that would create a much healthier reflection with Senator Obama. Biden is a reflection of Obama himself. His campaign staff and they way they run his campaign are also a reflection of Senator Obama.

I feel that McCain has schizophrenic tendencies. He can behave normally but under stress he disassociates and loses touch with reality. When McCain voted for the bail out plan and then shortly thereafter the same day, stated that he wanted the president to veto the bail out knowing that the president had requested the bail out be passed immediately. That was a clear example of him being disconnected from all of his own information. Well it felt familiar to me....
It makes sense that he is compartmentalizing things from himself. And expressing things from one compartment... then shifting and expressing them from a contradictory compartment with an expression that clearly does not recognize what he has done. In his mind 'he' has not lied.

I am very concerned for Senator McCain that people around him are actually messing with him emotionally and psychologically.

  • What Gergen demonstrated is 'leadership'.

I consider it a clear demonstration of the worst, if not non-existent', leadership qualities and skills to incite hatred and violence among the people you are 'claiming' to seek to serve. I feel that no matter what party or persuasion one belongs to, to have your followers express hate and threats of violence and not rebuke them out of hand is proof that you are unfit for any public office.

If the situation and circumstances were reversed I am certain that Biden and Obama would stop it in its tracks. However if the situation and circumstances were reversed and they did not I am certain we would have heard intense reprimand from any and every leader and it would have ruined his chances....

So why haven't we been hearing from everyone?

Why is McCain still in the race?

  • This would be funny if it weren't true...

Yes I can see why she was elected mayor... it sounds a lot like being the head of the PTA.

She has no business being anywhere near the presidency.

  • Interesting background from personal perspective. Thanks for sharing it.

I was shocked that there were not more people speaking out and reprimanding McCain and Palin for not rebuking and denouncing those at recent rallies that shouted out 'terrorsit' and 'kill him' about their opponent.

On Rachel Maddow's show tonight her guest suggested that the campaign just denies that McCain or Palin heard the comments which is ridiculous because even McCain acted shocked when he heard but then he smiled and said nothing about it but went on to fruther incite the crowd. So that is just BS and no one should accept that answer from the McCain camp.

I would expect at least some religious leaders to speak out about it. What they are doing could actually end up putting them in danger themselves. I know that they have the secret service but they are really out of bounds with the hatred they are sewing.

McCain and Palin have proven themselves unfit for public office of any kind in my opinion.

  • We are very fortunate to have two great men running together. Our country will be in excellent hands. Wish I knew a little more about Jill but just because I am curious. I love Michelle.

  • I have only heard him say that 'he knows how to get Bin Laden'. Because McCain is under the impression that 'he knows' how to do stuff like 'win wars' (of course he has never won a war)and we should just trust him on that.

There is an episode with Keith Olberman on Countdown about this from a month or two ago where he called McCain out for this suggesting that it is treason if he actually knew how to get Bin Laden and was not sharing that information with Bush and Petreus etc.

It is still a valid thing to bring up because McCain keeps saying it and it is as unbelievable now as it was the first time he said it.

  • can't say but I wrote to them asking them to use 'Enough is Enough' and he has been but not forcefully enough to evoke the energy he hit on at the democratic convention. I think if they say it forcefully enough they can use it like a sword cutting through muck, defining the moment.

There was so much power in it when he said it at the convention. You've inspired me to suggest that he use it more forcefully as the phrase becomes more necessary every day.
