  • It's a head-fake.  Just some stupid distraction to get the media to ask questions about anything other then McSame's and Palin's fitness for office.  Or, heaven forbid, substantive policy questions.

  • I've contributed as much as possible to the Obama campaign in the hopes that he'd actually use my money to FIGHT, not "sit back and wait".

I'm not maxed out yet, but I came close for the primaries.

I've contributed to the Obama campaign in the hopes that he'd WIN, whatever that takes.

They've shown the ability to both fight and dismiss.  So far, I've been pretty impressed with their decisions on when to do which.

  • ... Well, elitist if nothing else.

Seriously, maybe a one-two punch is coming?

From the clips I've seen, I've really liked how Barack and Joe have handled things.  Dismissive and focussed on McSame.

Especially Joe.  His self-deprecating, folksy, smile-on-his-face, unflappable demeanor is kinda winning.  I don't think he'll be much of a threat to go shooting his mouth off.  No way he comes across as angry.

OTOH, Hillary is well positioned to mock Palin.  A Hillary-wannabe if ever there was one.

So maybe let the Politico scenario unfold through the Sunday morning tongue-waggers, then drop the Hillary bomb on Monday?

It could be that both Politico and the NYT are seeing different pieces of the elephant.
