
Joan Chalmers Williams
- : Joan C. Williams is a Distinguished Professor of Law and the Director of the Center for WorkLife Law at UC Hastings College of the Law. She is known for her work on women and economics and work/family issues. She has published widely, including the award-winning Unbending Gender: Why Work and Family Conflict and What to Do About It (Oxford University Press,1999) and over fifty law review articles (including one of the most cited ever written; Deconstructing Gender, [The University of Michigan Law Review, 1989]).
