If they end the smear guilt-by-association ads and Palin stops using the same fiery attacks in her stump, then maybe there's a possibility he did it for the right moral reasons. Otherwise, I'm assuming he's doing it to distance himself from those attacks, which probably isn't sitting too well with independents and undecideds.

At this point in the race, I only take these kind of polls seriously if they are of undecided voters or soft-leaners. 80-90% of the electorate has made up their mind and their poll responses, assuming they are truthful and not an attempt at gaming the numbers, are irrelevant to understanding how the race might progress.

It's nice to see that Kleefield is still firmly in the "bitter" category of Hillary supporters. When I saw this poll on RCP, I was expecting him and not Greg to post this story and take delight in what is clearly an outlier of a poll.
