I am glad the PA primary is over.  I don't ever want to hear about PA ever again. I don't think I can watch Rocky ever again.  And the sight of a Philly cheese steak will make me gag.So now...more »

  • You're on point, snake eater...when I read that article I didn't know which was more disturbing: that someone had screamed "kill him!" or that Dana Milbank wrote about the whole event as if it were a joke. I thought the McCain camp would dial down the rhetoric after yesterday, but today someone yelled "treason!" at Palin's rally. This is a dying campaign, and if the GOP was smart, they'd cut ties with McPalin or they're going to lose more seats than they expected.

  • I agree with you, liam. I think Palin is going to surprise a lot of people tomorrow night, and McCain's numbers will start going up slightly. It's to dems detriment to underestimate Palin.

  • we will definitely be focusing on unfair coverage of Obama. definitely. it'll be a big part of our coverage.

Yeah, right--I'll believe it when I read it. The media's been horribly racist toward Obama, and I haven't heard a peep out of TPM about that.

  • I'm afraid that I'm just not buying into the conventional wisdom that McCain is going to do so much better in these townhall events.

I think they're pushing the townhall meetings because McCain sucks less at them than at regular speeches.

Also, if you watched the Republican debates (if you could stomach them), McCain bulldozers over his oppenents. He reminds me of Mr. Magoo. He just rambles on, talking over his oppenents, and they can't get a word in--Romney was truly beside himself when debating McCain. I expect to see that kind of thing (along with the audiences stacked with Republicans) at these townhall meetings.
