Thank you for your response. I have found that Progressive bloggers can be a pretty open-minded bunch, and not everyone is thrilled by either candidate. I just happen to feel more confident with Hillary in the White House. We are in a civil war in this country, but the Obama followers don't realize this. What i suspect is that Obama isn't letting on that he understands this deep down, and within a year the "new politics" will be out the window.

As for O'bama's Maenads, who have turned him into this "messiah," and don't see the damage that they are doing, Jack Nicholson in "Reds" as Eugene O'Neill put it succinctly: "Whenever I see an American with that wide-eyed missionary look in his eye, I say to myself 'Lookout here comes another form of catholicism."

People who don't appreciate history can't put together the dotted lines.

A: The Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan

B: The Soviet Union was the unashamed past master at ignoring civil rights, privacy and therefore were the consummate total surveillers.

C: Therefore anyone fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan could expect total surveillance.

D: Al Qaeda was fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan.

E: Therefore while fighting the Soviets, Al Qaeda could expect total surveillance.

F: In order to successfully receive smuggled arms from Pakistan, they had to know how to detect and avoid surveillance.

After 8 years of fighting the Soviets successfully, (with CIA help) Al Qaeda must have known a lot about surveillance and COUNTER surveillance!
