I think you're right. He won't have a name recognition problem after he gives a speech at the convention. Then he'll run himself after two terms as governor. He may become the Republican's Obama.

The first quarter of lake county looks good for Obama. That must be largely Gary.

He might make up a lot of ground in Gary, but she'll do well in the rest of Lake county (working class, White, ethnic, Catholic). If the county were just Gary, this might make a bigger difference.
Bottom line: I think it will end up being really close, but she'll hold on. If it is close enough, his win in NC might just about cancel out PA and IN combined in terms of popular vote.Posted at May 6, 2008 11:27 PM in response to Gary Indian providing a shocker? According to Mayor...

Her Indiana lead is down to 40,000. Pretty much only Lake county left. I would love to rewatch this speech tomorrow after she lost Indiana by a few votes. I don't actually think that will end up happening, but there is a slim chance and I would love it.

She's led in every poll since the PA primary with the exception of Zogby. She led by 16 points on 4/11. RCP doesn't list a single poll that has Obama up by more than 5 at any point. Spin is one thing. We came from behind. That's a lie.

Obama needs to maintain a favorable media narrative? I might say his goal is to regain a favorable media narrative and to end the favorable media narrative that has kept Clinton around.

1) Hillary would follow the women on money trend and be on the next failed attempt at a dollar coin.
I think boot Washington from the dollar instead of the quarter.2) Hillary should be represented by three balls (maybe bowling, maybe otherwise).

I agree that the voters quoted here are uninformed and bigoted. But there are uniformed, bigoted voters everywhere (as well as informed, bigoted voters and uninformed, unbiased voters). Leave Indiana alone.

For what it is worth, the most recent Insider Advantage is now 48-44 Clinton. Only 5% of the White vote is undecided. 16% of the Black vote is undecided. Will those undecideds break the same way as the ones in OH, PA, etc.? One poll, I know, but.
