  • why would he make a great attorney general? The guy is empty fluff. I thought that from day one. Never ever got what the draw was. Never saw what he brought to the table. And talk about inexperience, what did this guy ever do that was executive?

  • who cares what Bill Clinton thinks. Half the country couldn't stand him before this primary, now another quarter can't stand him after it. That makes just about 75% of the electorate. Go away already.

  • I'm not a fan of Olbermann, but I'm not a fan of Milbank and never have been. He's too clever by half -- he so enjoys being witty and the sound of his own jokes, that truth sometimes gets obfuscated in his narcissim. He'd rather have the gotcha moment than report honestly. SO good riddance. He offends me.

  • I thought this ad was terrific. It was funny as hell and spot-on sharp. I have a new-found respect for the girl.

  • "The fever is induced by an extended period of laying the groundwork for a run at the presidency." "You forgot for a run at the presidency with Barack Obama as the opponent." Because I imagine both of them would be maintain more civility and feel less rage if it was somebody else. Don't you?

  • well duh. Don't know why people continue to think Obama is a typical liberal wimp.

You gotta hand it to both him and Clinton -- the toughest democrat bastards in a long long time.

But he's so damn smooth about it.

He's very very good on foreign policy. The innocent here is the ideologue -- McCain.

"Nice" doesn't always mean innocent, and nasty doesn't always mean sophisticated. The smartest of all is the person who is able to pull of nice while being cool and ruthless.

    That's Obama.

  • As the former girlfriend of a Jewish Republican Zionist, I can tell you that Lieberman is pretty popular with them; and he's pretty indistinguishable from them, as many of them are moderates otherwise. Israel is a blindspot. Thinking and reasonableness on other issues go completely out the window on this issue. Otherwise sane people who happen to be Jewish foam at the mouth on this topic. Lieberman is in this camp. You can't disagree with them at all, or even challenge them without being called anti-semitic. My former Republican boyfriend who is as intelligent, rational, thoughtful, open-minded, and sophisticated as they come on every other issue (which is why I liked him, despite some political differences), told me that even if he agreed with Obama on everything, he couldn't vote for him because he's muslim. I tried to reason with him, but was unable to.

What's so disturbing about Lieberman's willingness to slander Obama is that Obama went to Connecticut to campaign for him at Lieberman's request. They were friends. I'm guessing they no longer are. Like I said -- otherwise reasonable Jewish people become unhinged on the topic of Israel.

  • Like other posters here, I understand why Clinton supporters would support her to Obama, but don't understand why they'd vote McCain over Obama. Except that, sometimes I think her positions (except for healthcare) are closer to McCain's than Obama's. But then why be a democrat at all?

  • And yet one more example of the incompetence of her campaign? That they have failed to notice that evidence of her hypocrisy is still up on her website. Luv it.
