  • The spores came out of the Ft Detrick lab.

The info linking traces of Bentonitem only found in Iraq -also arose via Ft Detrick via [per ABC] "four [highly placed admin sources]"

The above two gleanings from Glenn Greenwald, along with info I'd not connecgted earlier [thank you D Bowman] that the Dems receiving anthrax "just happened to be holding up the passage of the PATRIOT Act" - along with ABC's unwillingness to out sources who clearly were pushing false propaganda under the cloak of anonymity - suggests that - at a minimum, the coverup of this matter - reeks of admin involvement, IMHO

By the way, Greenwald continues to update the story, so it is worth continuing to check Salon each day for these.

  • THanks NC Steve - the final point that we should
not be afraid to "stomp Gachnar the Fear Demon's tiny eight inch tall ass" by continuing to convince voters, one at a time if necessary, is right on.

And your last paragraph - that only a fool would continue to "believe[] McCain would continue to fumble-fart around forever like he did back in those halcyon bygone days" and that "only a bigger fool would believe the MSM was going to let Obama just run away with it" is right on.

and god bless my husband - who unlike me - the known crying liberal in this household - still has some cache with voters such as my rich conservative cousin - the hubby is chipping away with subtle, well-phrased Emails documented with useful links that highlight McCain's idiocy re: the economy.

Getting out the point that a McCain presidency will be a disaster is important to help ensure that McCain voters such as my cuz become so disgusted with their candidate that they stay home on election day.

  • Wow, some time away and it's a lovely breath of fresh air to return [as much as am able] to TPM

    1) MANY thanks for that post, MsJoanne. Added my rec, tho you clearly have lots already. For those of us with very limited time at present, I found it encouraging that things are not as bad as painted and thank you for taking the time to do the research.
    2) Thanks to the writer who recommended the HuffPost article. Will check that out when I can
3)kudos and a tone of laughs to the writer who stated that fake reporting was designed to sell"alcohol and male enhancement products"
    4) and ya just GOTTA love the creativity of a signator named "terrorist fist jab nation" :)

and BTW rmrd000000's story on Chuck Todd's take as to polling situation was particularly interesting for those of us w/o news this last three weeks. C.T. is one of a very few bright stars on major networks and I am grateful he is out there for watchers to learn from. One cannot expect too much more from Joe S other than stupid Q followups in line with his narrow and idiotic script -so his followup Q to Buchanan comes as no surprise.

thx again to all for your insights...

  • my newest favorite is his answer to a question on whether he agreed with Carly C that there was a disconnect between insurers covering viagra and not birth control.

Whether or not he voted on the bill should have been irrelevant. He could always cite some reason for his vote so long as he could now cite a principled reason for his view.

But he referred to being unable to remember how he voted as an answer to a question requiring his ethical 'take' on a matter.

So not only does he have a memory problem but worse - and at the same time that his camp excoriates those who point out his memory problem - he is capitalizing on that memory problem to wiggle out of ethics Qs .

  • dijamo - your comments are as always a wonder to read.

Another note to Elizabeth for her 'qwest' [yuk] to understand the value of exposing to the sun those acts of the Bush admin that sought - and achieved collusion - from nearly all the telcoms despite known laws. And perhaps to understand why in the absence of the courts, there may be no other means to expose those actions to the light of history...

the EFF site covering the Walker decision referred to by both myself and Don Key is being discussed at Talk Left, and both the columnist and the commenters are making points of value.

  • Darcy Burner, candidate for Congress from Washington and former Microsoft executive [whose home burned down in the last 24 hours and who therefore needs much support from the net community] has recently posted this on telcom immunity:

  • An interesting concept I'd not thought of.

Q for the poster however [and please excuse if there is something I'm missing]: You include a link purportedly to an article headlined
'McCain Visibly Angry When Asked About Military Service'

Bit that link seems to bring me back to the front page of TPM - headlining the great article & video on McCain's knowledge of the economy.

If there is an article that you are citing I would love to see it.
    thanks
