Now that most everyone has commented on Edwards betrayal of the voters perhaps a few questions more important lurk underneath the affair.
1. Who leaked the affair to the Enquirer?
2. Did the White House listen in on Edwards phone calls, intercept his emails... etc?
3. How did the Enquirer know about the hotel visit beforehand?
4. Why did Edwards break his silence now?
Sad, but with this neo-con crowd in the WHite House it is nearly impossible to believe that every Democratic candidate running for office is not under illegal surveillance. A fact that makes Edwards poor choices even worse than the affair. He wasn't narcissistic... he was just plain stupid.

McCain is right... why should I vote for a 'celebrity' like Obama when I can vote for someone who:
 Finished fifth from the bottom of his military class, crashed five planes during his military career. He was front and center in the death of 132 navy personal on his ship. He is the first POW to Have learned all about winning a war by being a prisoner of war, made over thirty anti-american tapes while in captivity. He cheated on his disabled wife shortly after coming home, has worked a total of slightly more than a year in the private sector from cradle to now in life.
He was involved in political corruption his first term in office. Questions of integrity surround him today.
His chief advisor today was councel to Dick Cheney. Several of his current staff are students of Karl Rove politics.
God forbid I vote for a 'celebrity' like Barrack Obama when I can have a proven 'Maverick' like McCain continue W's success story for the next eight years.
Oh, did I mention he was a 'hero POW' something McCain never talks about because of his humility and not wanting to be a 'Hero' celebrity.

Democrats need to agree with 'drilling more, using less' under three (3) conditions.
1. Homeland Security owns the leases and does the drilling.
2. Recovered oil goes toStrategic Petroleum Reserve  first.
3. Any excess oil profit goes to low income heating and cooling funding.
Benefits would be:
Create high paying government jobs by expanding Civil Engineer Corps for the oil drilling project.

Eliminate the cost of the $2.6 billion in subsidies for helping people with low incomes pay heating and air-conditioning bills this year.
Republicans want to drill... let them drill for the benefit of America and not big oil.

As for Tony Snow... he deserves the same sentiment he offered (June 15, 2006) 2500 soldiers who lost their life in Iraq.

A report in Monday's Wall Street Journal claimed that President George W Bush's administration is "quietly acquiescing" to a dollar drop because it wants a weaker currency to boost foreign sales of US-made goods.

Analysts said that US policymakers are signalling they are happy for the dollar to decline by not aggressively talking up the currency.

Crude spiked higher on Wednesday after a U.S. government report showed that crude supplies fell last week. If Obama was attacking McCain he would say hero's do not get thrown out at third base in baseball. Hero's do not get tackled on the one yard line in football and POW's don't heroically win wars. Hero's do not crash five planes, graduate fifth from the bottom of their military class or make propaganda films for the enemy.
Since Obama said none of the above it is safe to say he is not attacking McCain.
Now, me on the other hand have two questions for McCain.
1. Why does the everyday federal worker have to retire at 65 and yet McCain can run for Boss.
2.If a POW is a 'hero' what does that make the soldier who does not get captured? A superhero? If so Clark is a superhero and superhero's trump POW hero's.

The events of the last few days point to the futility of appealing to our Senators to  do the 'right' thing on the FISA bill.
The storyline that the Senators are in the back pocket of the telecom companies seemingly doesn't faze this congress.
Time to change the debate by flat out stating what many people really think... Senators, especially the leadership are being blackmailed by this Whitehouse to support the current FISA bill.
If your Senator votes 'YES' on this bill he/she is admitting they are being blackmailed. The Cheney cabal has personal information that would put your Senator's job at risk.
The vote next week needs to be framed this way:
A 'yes' vote means your 'dirty' and being blackmailed to betray the constitution.
A 'no' vote means you have nothing to hide.
