you stand to benefit from policies that make it easier for parents to rear children, so long as you're born after the policies go into effect, because everyone starts life as a child.
Yeah, but children can't vote. Duh.

Even George W. Bush wasn't that extreme (although Hillary had similar rhetoric during the primary) so I think whoever gets elected will adopt a more realistic approach once they get in office.

I don't know why the pundits think this, it's so stupid. Why would the average American want to be hated around the world?
How can anyone in the U.S. think of this country as being a 'world leader' without, you know, people liking us? It's insane.
And anyway, I'm assuming Obama has done polling on this, to see how people would respond to having a president that is well liked around the world.

The Republicans have Limbaugh, Coulture, and O'Reilly. We have Stewart, Colbert, and Kinky Friedman.
Kinky Friedman? He ran as an independent in Texas, and also he's a total douche.

You moron. For "ordinary people" this wouldn't be a big deal. It would be akin to using the company fax machine to send a letter to a friend. No one would get fired or get into trouble for it.
(I'm talking about using the letter head)
As far as the earmark, congress as a whole does vote on the entire package, so no one is actually sneaking anything by anyone.

Polling on congress as a whole is kind of pointless. Obviously, people can't vote out the entire congress, and people often like their own congressperson.
It would be more informative to see how people felt about Peloci, Reed, Democrats in congress and Republicans in congress.

I challenge you to go outside right now, stop the next 100 people you meet on the street, and ask them what FISA stands for
Why should they need to know what it stands for? I'm sure most people couldn't tell you what "AMUF" stands for, but that doesn't mean they don't have an opinion on the war in Iraq.

You didn't "scoop" anyone, you just linked to something else on the internet. Andrew Sullivan is the one who actually did the work and contacted the McCain campaign.
Nothing is more annoying then people who think they deserve credit for linking to something. Well, actually lots of things are more annoying, but it's still very annoying.
