This is their MO: take a completely radical position and market it relentlessly, so that by sheer exposure, it achieves legitimacy. Then, the moment they're able to engage you in an argument over it, they've won something -- because you give them legitimacy by arguing with them. It's an ingenious strategy and was used effectively by Hitler, among others.

Bush has the attention span of an autistic gnat, which is why this administration has never had a coherent policy on anything. To ameliorate the complex situation in the Middle East requires sustained effort, patience and imagination. Bush isn't capable of that, nor is Cheney nor are any of the Republican dwarves running for President. If you want a less dangerous world, elect a Democrat -- ANY Democrat.

Why is more thorough analysis not being done? Because Cheney doesn't give a rat's ass about it. To him, "intelligence" is something to "massage" so that it backs up what he already wants to do. He's not at all interested in rigorous analysis of intelligence and of course all Shrub wants to do is ride his bike and talk with his mouth full. These insane, lethal clowns aren't a government -- they're the Marx Brothers on acid.

Whether it was an appalling accident or an appalling design to nuke Iran, what's really frightening is that a plane full of warheads flew thousands of miles and NOBODY WAS AWARE OF IT. Hello? 9/11 anybody? What if someone decided to hijack one of THOSE planes? Sounds like it would be a snap.
