  • How could they have voted for Edwards or Obama? They weren't even on the ticket! I don't know why people include FL on the list of "big states he didn't win" when he wasn't even on the ballot there. Because he followed the rules and she didn't.

  • PA resident here...

Just want to say that we received that Robocall about 2 days ago. We already think that what he said was right on the money and the firestorm over this completely manufactured so we didn't bother to listen to the whole thing.

Anyway, just wanted to point out that it's been out for longer than just today.

  • I think it's because Obama is a secret Muslim and now everyone knows it.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? And who really gives a crap if he is?

I guess I just don't understand *why* a person's religion is such a big deal when there is supposed to be a separation of church and state in this country. I mean, God Forbid we ever elect someone President who isn't a Christian. Whatever happened to freedom of religion?

Plus, I just don't get where this Muslim thing comes from with Obama. Are people just assuming it because of his name? If so, that is about the dumbest thing ever.

  • Can someone give me a quick idea of how the pledged delegates are awarded on the democratic side? I've been following all of this and it's obvious they they are not 'winner take all.' Are they given based on the percentage of voters who voted for a particular candidate - ie: Obama took 58% of the vote in WI, ergo he gets 58% of WI's delegates?

  • I am a PA resident - I actually live in Pittsburgh.

The Post-Gazette is actually the much more liberal of the papers here. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review is the right wing outlet in the area - it's owned by Richard Scaife Mellon.

Anyhow, I just sent a note to the Governor's office telling him that I wasn't pleased with his comments. I'm a white Democrat and I plan to vote for Obama in the primary. It's fine if he wants to endorse HRC in his capacity as a superdelegate but to imply that I'm not capable of voting the issues really chaps my hide.

Then again, by his logic, he probably believes that I would vote for HRC since she's a white woman and so am I. If she wins the primaries, I will vote for her but as far as the primaries go, I'll vote Obama, thanks very much.
