This seems too good to be true. Phil Gramm. The number-of-houses imbroglio. And now this. McCain is so obviously out-of-touch with the economic plight of most of America. When will start to be reflected in the polls? What more do people need?

I am afraid that Kaneblues has it right, though. Laura Ingraham and Bill O'Reilly will make the "small ad buy" into a national one -- for free -- by discussing this bullshit over and over again on their respective propaganda hours.

Maybe, oh hope of hope, Americans aren't THAT fucking stupid this time? Maybe, because this is so transparent in its disgustingness, pandering, and mudslinging, American's won't buy into it? I hope.

You know, that's really quite fair, and your point is well taken. The appropriate time for concern is the primary, and the appropriate place to register concern is the DFL primary. After that, there's a nominee, and it's full steam ahead, guns blazing.
Norm Coleman is a slime ball (see Rachel Paulose debacle). He needs to lose, and he deserves to lose to Al Franken.

I don't think you have any basis to doubt the reality of my concern about the Democrats maximizing their majority in the Senate, regardless where I am from. And, for that matter, I sincerely hope that Al Franken is the next Senator from MN. Whether or not my or others' electability concern proves justified will become clear as the campaign season continues.

Fine. He would have been a better fundraiser for another candidate.
