  • I've given up on Nagourney. This is a typical Nagourney piece; questionable. His coverage of the Democratic primaries moved me to complain to the NYT on many occasions. He is a weasel, I agree.

  • Clark's responses to Schieffer were well reasoned and true. There was no need for the Obama campaign to apologize. Clark was not disrespecting McCain's service. He simply stated the obvious when Schieffer shot back with this idiotic business of flying a fighter plane and getting shot down...
I am glad to see Clark is not backing off.

  • I don't think the VP slot came up. I don't think she would dare go there. Otherwise, another gracious gesture on Obama's part, after all he is the victor. Bottom line she has much to learn from him as far as character is concerned. Hers is really flawed.

  • Governor Dean is a visionary, a good man. I trust his judgment. He was the trailblazer who made Obama's grassroots campaign possible. I am glad he is staying as head of the DNC.

  • Hillary's speech was characterized by its lack of graciousness, by its arrogance, by its narcissism, by its stuborness in rejecting the reality which stares her in the face. It was a crass, rude, disgusting performance.
Worse still, she failed to acknowledge this historical evening for all of America, Obama's historical victory, one which makes this one of the most memorable of my lifetime.
The Clintons are an evil bunch.

  • McCitizen,
Sen. Obama did not denounce the church, only the two pastors in question. Circumstances have left him no option but to distance himself from it, so the congregation could resume some semblance of normalcy. He expressed sadness at having to do so. He did not flip-flop.

  • This is the only way he can disassociate himself from the next nut knocking on that pulpit which is now a sure way to get some media attention. It is regrettable he has been forced to make such a decision, but this move has liberated him and the Trinity Church congregation from further scrutiny.

  • My pick would be Jim Webb. His wife, a very accomplished corporate lawyer, is Vietnamese. What a wonderful picture they would make alongside Michelle & Barack. What America is all about!
